Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that President Donald Trump “has won” with his tariff policies because 40% of the world wanted to negotiate.
Kennedy said, “Here’s my point from one perspective, from my perspective, you may not, share it. President Trump has won. We have an opportunity here. I hope he seizes it.”
Co-host Joe Scarborough said, “Senator, I don’t know that I would say the president’s one yet because we just don’t know how like you like you said, we don’t know how this is going to shake out.”
Kennedy said, “When I say the president’s won, here’s what I mean, would 40% of the 200 countries in the world be coming to America now trying to reduce their tariffs if President Trump had not done what he did? No. So every fair minded America knows that. I just don’t know what’s going to happen next. In terms of China. Look, China wants a deal for them right now. It’s not about the economy it’s about saving face. China wants a deal. China’s economy is in worse shape. I’ll be glad to talk about it if you want, then it’s been in 25 years, they can’t afford a trade war. They are quietly seeking a deal with President Trump, as are 40% of the countries in the world. I mean, the president’s won. We wouldn’t have this opportunity but for what he did. All I’m saying is let’s take, you know, let’s take it. Let’s pounce on it like a ninja. I would be on this deal like a like a hobo on a ham sandwich. I’d have them lined up at the White House.”

A fine example of Sen Kennedy’s signature southern wit.
“What do you think of the new Democrat leadership,” he was asked.
“I consider Cong AOC to be the leader of the Democratic Party,” Sen Kennedy answered.
“As I’ve said before, I think she’s the reason there are directions on a shampoo bottle,” he observed.
He gets it, unlike some posters here who are convinced this is a loss and Trump is not in control.

POTUS Trump might want to slow down on all of this winning. The American people have short memories. They will forget what caused their fortunes to increase, especially when the hard work is done 12 to 18 months before the next election.
Somehow, someway, the Lying Media (MSM) will convincingly tell the American people it was the Democrats, led by AOC and Bernie, who turned the economy around come November 2026.

Trump won? Why no country signed a deal with US?
Only the ones that are already brain dead and will only vote Democrat.
All of the many groups of people, to include independents, that moved to Trump and Republicans will never credit the Democrats for anything more than what they scream about, mainly trans, illegals, LGBwhatever and daily false lies.

Trump has also set the stage for isolation and reputational damage to China, striking out at the US devotees of the Chinese awesomeness that abound in the monied halls of DC.

Are you kidding? By many reports there are some 70 countries in line to make a deal. Israel has already dropped their tariffs on American products. Smart move by Bibi and sets an example of how to avoid new tariffs on all the others. Another smart move is "the Pause" by Trump. He's got some 40% of the World scrambling to get to the negotiation tabble before "the Pause" ends at his discretion.
It will take days/weeks of negotiations with 70 or more countries to realize they have been ripping off America with their tariffs. I believe even China will give in to Trump's 125% tariffs against China. China and all the world needs America's consumer base. Have patience.
