According to Chris Rock, this is how you avoid getting your ass kicked by the police.
His first name gives it away.
Rojo diaper baby.
“... third-year undergraduate majoring in food and resource economics...”
Sounds pretty Social-Justicey, but might come in handy in his home country.
The article says he’s a third-year undergrad, i.e. a 27 year-old junior.
Like others have said, showing up as a 24-year old Freshmen at a major school like UF seems odd, I would like to k know more, Gainesville is like many college towns it’s a liberal bastion which makes it even more odd that a simple traffic stop would get you deported
These “students” should go to Singapore and flaunt their various laws. The island country has a strong sense of FA...FO.
Their are so many arrogant foreign students here ( usually from wealthy families) whose arrogance itself should get them thrown out.
As to this creep...he’s 27 and an “undergrad”? What a pathetic loser. Likely his rich poarents wanted hikm out of their hair for a long while.
He should be flown to the Salvadoran prison to learn about life.
Other foreign students (many are criminals for their law breaking) should be investigated...and deported if breaking ANY laws...even jaywalking.
You are a guest here...be careful how you behave.
So been here three years, and didn’t bother to follow or respect some of the most fundamental rules and now whines he got sent home...
When you are a visitor to someone else’s home, being on ones best behavior should need to be stated outloud.
“Police records cited by NBC Miami show he was cited for numerous offenses, including having an illegal license plate and driving with a suspended or revoked license and registration tag.”
I’m sure he didn’t have insurance either.. and had he killed or injured someone while driving his illegal vehicle and expired license, no biggie...
Like this asshole?
Traffic Stop that found him violating multiple motor vehicle laws.
Expired plate, expired license, and I’m betting no insurance either. etc.
It’s very true. It’s become hard to get in to UF.
Which is the major reason I don’t like foreigners taking up spots that children of tax paying Floridians don’t get
Don’t come here “illegally” dammit! You ain’t special!
Precisely. Get rid of them!
I know what should (and now, apparently will) get you "placed in an ice prison":
"...having an illegal license plate and driving with a suspended or revoked license and registration tag..."
So. If he had slammed into a car and killed the American family inside while driving with an illegal place and a "suspended or revoked license and registration tag", would that be enough to deport him back to Colombia? Or do we have to wait until the POS kills or maims someone to deport him?
Dimitris Liveris, leader of the University of Florida Young Democratic Socialists of America, which is organizing Wednesday’s protest, told NBC Miami: “Right now, we’re seeing waves and waves of fear throughout the student body because people don’t know what’s going to get them placed in an ICE prison.
~~~~~~~~~
Well, Dimitris, I feel so bad for them. I think they should all just leave this awful country immediately to escape those “waves of fear.”
“What was he really up to? How many law-abiding citizens put illegal plates on their cars?”
Yep, lots of Smoke such as: WHY did he have an illegal tag? Evading arresr? Was the vehicle stolen? Or were the “illegal” plates on the vehicle stolen?
The guy was 27 years old, but a college junior, which implies an age of about 20. Was dragging along as an “international student” just his excuse for staying in the US?
Right now, we're seeing waves and waves of fear throughout the student body because people don't know what's going to get them placed in an ICE prison.
Fear--but not enough to make this student get a real license plate and ID.
My sweet ass. I am hospitable against my will, smiling and nodding everytime I see them with their pregnant family members, holding onto dozens of kids while they fill their multiple shopping carts with high end food and pay for it with multiple SNAP cards.
They don’t carry insurance because they know the police will just let them go and will tell you that it is on YOU and YOU are responsible for them running into you and damaging your car. They don’t know or even care to know about our traffic laws and so many Americans are dead and maimed because of their drunk driving and unconcern for our safety.
Velásquez was in the process of renewing his student visa at the time of his arrest.
Interesting.
Just a way for the lying media to say he is illegal without saying he is illegal. If his visa was active there would be absolutely no need for that comment to exist in the article.
IF he ever had a driver's license, in several democRAT States he would have been registered to vote. IF he voted, that could be one more charge against him.
