Prosecutors claim Routh, 58, was communicating through an encrypted app with someone he believed had access to military-grade weapons. In messages cited in the Southern District of Florida filing, Routh allegedly said, “Send me an rpg or stinger and I will see what we can do… [Trump] is not good for Ukraine.”
“I need equipment so that Trump cannot get elected,” Routh reportedly added. The government says the exchange, which involved discussion of price and shipping for anti-aircraft weaponry, demonstrates Routh’s intent to kill Trump. He also allegedly sent an image of Trump’s campaign plane to the contact and wrote, “Trump’s plane, he gets on and off daily.” Referring to the failed July 2024 shooting, Routh wrote: “I wish.”
Routh is currently facing trial for the alleged assassination attempt, and his defense team is working to have a key eyewitness excluded from proceedings.
On September 14, 2024, a witness identified as T.C.M. told police he saw a disheveled man flee from the bushes near Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course and speed off in a black Nissan after hearing gunshots. He photographed the car, recorded its plate, and gave a description that helped lead to Ryan Routh’s arrest about an hour later.
Routh’s attorneys argue the ID should be barred, claiming police used a “suggestive” method by showing T.C.M. a single photo of Routh after his detention, risking “irreparable misidentification.” They also note Routh’s vehicle has no sunroof, contradicting the witness account. Trial begins September 8, 2025.

Frankly I’ve been thinking that the next attempt on Trying makes will involve something like this.
This person was most likely a known threat long before he almost got away with an assassination attempt.
Thus the switch of many Zeepers to going relatively silent, or hyping never Trump type of articles.
This retard needs to be locked away. He’s a threat to civilization. Wants to change history with an RPG.
Yes. Secret Service had better set aside the old way of watching for a zealot with a gun.
Our rotten tech age has brought drones as well as hidden small missiles controlled by a video game style device remotely. As well as gas in the air. And fentanyl in food.
You think with Illegally monitoring the communication of every single American Someone would’ve noticed this
He was going to go all Robert Cockburn
Well he’s going to find out in prison how pocket rockets get ready for launching.
That info should have remained classified, imo.
When is Chuck "six ways from Sunday" Schumer going to be investigated? He made some
veiled threats about the Deep State and intelligence agencies targeting President Trump.
Bruce Cockburn.
The Russian term is "ручной противотанковый гранатомёт," which means (in English) "hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher".
The word "rocket" does NOT appear in the original Russian. When the Soviets shipped them overseas they marked the crates with ручной противотанковый гранатомёт spelled phonetically in the Roman alphabet, which appears as "Ruchnoy Protivotankovyy Granatomyot."
Despite the fact the label wasn't printed in Cyrillic, some dim-witted monoglot GI figured the initials R, P and G must stand for "rocket propelled grenade" and we've been stuck with his mistranslation ever since.
Even the Russian Wikipedia page for the RPG states:
"...Unlike a number of other military terms, which came into the Russian military lexicon from abroad together with the concepts and phenomena designated by them, the word «ручной противотанковый гранатомёт» is a purely Russian language that has generated foreign borrowing. For example, the English abbreviation «RPG» (engl. rocket-propelled grenade - «rocket-propelled grenade») is a transliterated name from «RPG», under the already existing expression...."
