The pecker playing piano Zelinsky knows a rope is in his future if he gives up.

EU is buying Russia’s oil. They’re the problem. It’s no wonder there was 2 world wars.

The Russian bear will get hungrier and more demanding as time passes.

Putin must be offered a complete deal he politically can’t refuse. Ordinary Russians don’t like the level of Russian deaths and severely wounded, probably around a thousand a day (about 200,000 more dead and severely wounded by December).

Putin’s greatest fear is a Russian mother wailing in the street.

He’s in left field in this. He has a blind spot as a Uke supporter. Essentially he thinks since we want it to end, the Russians will agree to a Korean War DMZ that achieves there NATO goals of much needed relief, a Uke buildup and done sort of alliance. And all of this without ending sanctions, turning on Swift again, returning the stolen Russian gold and currency, repairing Nordstream etc.

Unlike neocon warmongers, I agree with Trump: It is better to deal with quasi-enemies than to work to antagonize them constantly.

Russia is not the old Soviet Union and as such is not an automatic enemy of the US. They are thousands of miles away. Europe may feel differently, If so, they have an even greater need to play nicely with their neighbor.

US neocons ginned up the Uke war meddling in the Ukraine region. It’s past time to stop the killing.

Yeah, Putin’s goal seems to be the end of Ukraine as a large-NATO-friendly military power on his doorstep as well as keeping whatever territory buffer he wants, etc. The front is collapsing in front of him so it’s no surprise he is pushing forward after paying such a heavy price to get this far.

Europe is “so afraid” of Russia that they demanded oil and gas pipelines connect the two.
Norway, UK and Italy also have oil and gas, but Klaus Schwab.
Israel has lots of natgas but… obviously.
Gaza has natgas, but they used all their construction money building tunnels.
Egypt has some gas and oil but they need it for themselves.
Libya has oil, but Hillary.

At your link to 'understandingwar.org', the content is provided by the Institute for the Study of War.

Freepers, if you are not familiar with ISW, I encourage you to read the linked article (#1) below to get a good look at the neocon propaganda outlet known as the Institute for the Study of War. It has a familial connection to Victoria Nuland, the CIA head who helped overthrow the Ukraine and helped pick the officials (puppets) for the new government there in 2014. The author, Robert Wright, makes the point that the ISW is a) propaganda b)subtle and c) frequently used by MSM.

I included #2 Bill Kristol because he is on the board of the Institute of the Study of War.

1.  A case study in American propaganda

What is the Institute for the Study of War? And why do America’s elite media outlets trust it for all of their on-the-ground Ukraine information?

Robert Wright

2. Board  member for the Institute of the Study of War is neocon Bill Kristol:

Bill Kristol - WikipediaLearn about Bill Kristol, an American neoconservative writer and commentator who founded The Weekly Standard and opposed the Clinton health care plan and the Iraq War. He is also a critic of Donald Trump and a supporter of the Never Trump movement.

The EU may want to consider the Long Game here, Russia, Eastern, Central, and western Europe may well need to be Allies defending Western civilization from myriad forces from the far-east, middle east, and their staunch, dependible Nato partner in the former Ottoman Empire.

We only have Japan, Saudi, Israel and some other convient
proxies that may not want to risk helping Old Europe.

But first they all have to stop declaring war on themselves. .

Vdh has consistently had good takes on many things, but I’m having a hard time understanding him on this one.

The two sides seem so far on what they want and expect, I don’t see how there can be peace this year.

On the other hand, in sure where Ukraine’s breaking point is. There don’t seem to be volunteering much, and don’t like getting pushed into vans to get dropped on the front lines (forced conscription)

That’s why NATO is launching missiles deep into Russia. They want to provoke a nuclear war before it’s too late.
