California's formerly overrun border with Mexico is now virtually empty just months after Donald Trump's election, images show.
Aid workers have begun packing up after weeks without seeing any migrants, SF Gate reports.
'To say there has been a dramatic change would be an understatement,' Jeffrey Stalnaker, acting chief patrol agent of the San Diego sector, said.
Not long ago, the stretch along southern California was dealing with a record number crossings.
December 2024 saw a record 301,981 people caught crossing the border illegally.
The number of migrants caught crossing illegally stayed well above 200,000-a-month for much of Biden's time in office. He insisted there was nothing he could do.
But during Trump's first month in office the number of illegal migrants intercepted plunged to just 11,709 people, making a mockery of Biden's claims that his hands were tied.
Former President Biden's decision to reverse a pandemic-era policy which denied asylum seekers and immediately deported them back to Mexico was largely blame for the spike.
President Trump vowed to tackle the border crisis if elected and has since enacted several measures which have seen daily arrests fall from their high of 1,200 to just 30.
Among them was deploying 750 US troops to reinforce six miles of the border wall with concertina wire.
Adriana Jasso, a human rights lawyer who works for the American Friends Service Committee, said the last time she saw any migrants in the notorious 'Whiskey 8' area near San Diego was February 15.
Previously Whiskey 8 has been chocked full of migrants who had scaled the fence out of Mexico and were waiting along the stretch for processing by CBP.
Jasso and her colleagues are used to handing out water, food and aid to the migrants but said there is less call for their services

This gas to be hammered home in ‘26 and ‘28. There was no GD excuse to let in all those lowlifes and 47 has proven it.

Only insane leftists bemoan this success.
It is only “stunning” to useful idiots and Skulls Full Of Mush.
“This gas to be hammered home in ‘26 and ‘28.”
Yes, but sooner would be a lot better! Trump needs to do his own monthly or biweekly “fireside chats” to crisply list his successes and how they benefit all Americans. Show all Americans how we’ve been raped by our government for decades. Get the people behind him and ‘26 and ‘28 will follow.
They’ve got to get from boutique to mass deportations here pretty quickly—and give Mike Johnson a big-enough wedgy to get the courts knocked down to size.
Otherwise, the momentum will be lost. If they lose the House in 2026, the Trump admin will be over.
I agree. I think his Oval Office sessions are a pretty good start.
FUNNY PIC! ;)
“Trump needs to do his own monthly or biweekly “fireside chats” to crisply list his successes and how they benefit all Americans.”
Definitely! It would also give him a good opportunity to clearly explain his tariff strategy and how it can benefit us in the long run.

___________
That’s around 10 million and that doesn’t count the ones they didn’t catch nor the ones from the Canadian border nor the ones they flew in directly from other nations around the world including Afghanistan.
We have tens of millions to remove, hopefully eventually 40+ million by the end of the day.
What can be be done starting now to Jumpstart the efforts to keep the US House AND US Senate both in 2026 and 2028?
Now finish the GD wall.
Stop the fraud!
Get the ‘homeless’ to work cleaning up the mess left behind by the illegals.
Elon told us last night. DOGE the strangely wealthy Congresscritters.
All we needed was a new president.
Great work, but it will be all for naught if the ones who made it thru are allowed to lay liw and wait it out for 4 years undetected. Need to start expanding the pool of deportations radically and closing all spigots that allow them to remain. The uncooperative states like CA can easily shield them for 4 years.
Yep. I’m just stating the obvious, but their plan is a repeat of 2017: Do all they can to block him with their lawyer army & judges, then in fall of 2018, “Look voters! He didn’t do anything.”
