Atlantic’s Goldberg: Trump Team Doesn’t Take National Security Seriously
Breitbart ^ | 03/30/2025 | Pam Key

Posted on 03/30/2025 12:09:10 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

On Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, said he released the Signal chat among senior national security officials to show that the Trump administration does not take national security seriously.

Goldberg said, “When they do something wrong, they go on the attack, and they attack the messenger. You know, and the odd thing about this one is I didn’t really actually do anything. I’d like to claim that I was some bold investigative reporter. All I did was answer a message request from Mike Waltz on Signal and the rest of it just came on my phone. So, even if I had those terrible character traits that they ascribed to me, all I did was simply print what they said.”

Now the little shit shows the real play. Yeah Trump doesn’t take security seriously, sure. The scumbag is desperately trying to keep his little story front and center. Well no one gives a fig about it.

<< “You know, and the odd thing about this one is I didn’t really actually do anything.” >>

What Goldberg should have done, if he cared about national security, is to immediately inform those on the chat chain that he obviously wasn’t supposed to be there, and that since he was there, other non-authorized persons could be as well.

Anyone who was not railing against the invasion of America by millions of illegals during the Biden administration can just shut up on this topic, or expect to be mercilessly hammered as a Quisling and a hypocrite. Globalists are inherent hypocrites on this topic.

This is the equivalent of getting the address wrong on a outdated secret document and it ended up at the Pentagon BBQ instead of the actual Pentagon. Was it a screwup? Yes. Does it have any long term impact? No, because they were talking about bombing the Houthis right then and I think they’ve figured out that’s why a lot of stuff blew up at once last week. Additionally, they talked about Europe not carrying their weight, and the European military commanders were too busy planning their month long August vacations to notice.

On the other hand, propping up a President with dementia is taking national security quite seriously.

I do like a good conspiracy theory; ya think maybe the lil’ wife had a hand in this?

Julia Nesheiwat - is married to Mike Waltz, who has served as U.S. national security advisor under President Trump since 2025

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julia_Nesheiwat#Government_service

............Nesheiwat was an international affairs fellow with the Council on Foreign Relations and served on the Governing Advisory Council for the World Economic Forum. Nesheiwat also served on the Governing Advisory Council for Clean Energy at the World Economic Forum and was appointed as deputy assistant secretary of state in the Bureau of Energy Resources. She also served as the energy policy advisor in the department’s economic bureau, was the ex officio committee member for the Florida Ocean Alliance, as well as appointed as the Global Ambassador by the World Green Building Council.........

..........In August 2019, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had appointed Nesheiwat as the state’s first chief resilience officer. Florida is only the third state (joining Rhode Island and Oregon) to have “designated resilience offices with clear executives that report directly to the governor.”[18] In this role, she was tasked with preparing Florida for the “environmental, physical and economic impacts” of sea level rise, confirmed by a 2014 national climate assessment. Nesheiwat has supported the scientific consensus on climate change and its impact on the state of Florida. Nesheiwat is serving as a distinguished fellow at the Atlantic Council also focused on energy, climate, arctic policy, and national security and was appointed as US Commissioner on the US Arctic Research Commission..............
