However, William King Moss III, the head of the Islip-Smithtown branch of the NAACP, claims in a new lawsuit that the new name is problematic because the Spartans were a group of white people who enslaved others and did not allow women to serve in the military. Spoken like someone who never picked a cotton ball in his life. Probably never did an honest days work either. His name reminds me of a silver spooner.
ROTFL! You can't make this crap up! I think they should name them the non-offensive mascot names, "The Trannies" or the "Man-Buns". Or the "Dylan Mulvaneys". LOL! Or how about "The National Angry Agitator Clown People."

Moss, a former teacher in the Brentwood school district and a father of two students in the district,
filed a lawsuit earlier this month claiming the new team name is a “symbol of White supremacy.”
