KYIV, Ukraine (AP) – Russian forces are preparing to launch a fresh military offensive in the coming weeks to maximize the pressure on Ukraine and strengthen the Kremlin’s negotiating position in ceasefire talks, Ukrainian government and military analysts said.

The move could give Russian President Vladimir Putin every reason to delay discussions about pausing the fighting in favor of seeking more land, the Ukrainian officials said, renewing their country’s repeated arguments that Russia has no intention of engaging in meaningful dialogue to end the war.

Each side should aim to put complete written peace proposals on the table.

Typing and not talking should be the method used.

Then they had better hurry and get a treaty signed before then.

I wonder if the Ukrainian people realize how much Zelenskyy has damaged them in the eyes of the US people?

There is tremendous social pressure in Russia to liberate Odessa before the conflict is settled. Indeed, there is significant pressure from people in Odessa itself, they are begging Russia to not leave them behind.

So what? Preparation and planning on issues like this is necessary. Even if in the end they will not be needed.

I think Russia has concluded that neither Z man nor the EU can be trusted to keep it’s word in any peace.

Trump is for peace, Ukraine has agreed to a ceasefire, only (no surprise), Putin refuses to stop invading Ukraine and in fact when speaking to submariners, Putin smugly declared: 'Not long ago I said we'd grind [Ukraine] down — now it looks like we'll finish them off'.

Putin in 2003 signed a treaty with Ukraine called the “Treaty Between the Russian Federation and Ukraine on the Russian–Ukrainian State Border”. It recognized Ukraine’s borders as they were in 1991 & was lodged with the UN.

” Z man nor the EU can be trusted”

After all of our experience with Russia someone would say something like this. Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon must be roling in their graves to hear this from Freepers.

Well if they are, it’s because that little twerp has no intention of stopping the war or cooperating with peace efforts, and the Russians know it.

Only one side refuses a ceasefire, Russia. Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire, so exactly how are you blaming Ukraine for "no intention of stopping war"?

No ceasefire is going to work when England and France are saying they will be sending “peacekeepers” into Ukraine.

There are pretty big differences between Ronald Reagan’s day with Russia and today.

1) $36T in debt. WE HAVE NO MONEY.

2) The Russian oil and gas industry is essentially all powerful. No, don’t quote US oil and gas numbers. They are not relevant. Quote Ukraine and Europe oil and gas numbers.

I thought from the beginning that Odessa was the big prize. If that idiot Zeke doesn’t a get clue Russia is going push forward and take it. At the moment it is just outside of Russian occupation. If Zeke doesn’t stop listening to the EU clowns that is going to change.

Russia launches 'hellish' overnight drone bombardment of Ukraine

In total, Ukraine's air force said Russia launched 172 attack drones toward Ukraine overnight, of which 94 were shot down and 69 failed to reach their targets.

At least four people were killed in the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro by a massed Russian overnight drone strike, officials reported, with 22 others injured.

“The Russian oil and gas industry is essentially all powerful.”

Russia’s GDP is less than Italy’s and sinking fast.

They are draining their pension fund to keep this two week war going. 23% interest rates and 7% inflation.
