Authorities in Zurich have, for the first time, issued a fine under the Swiss law known as the “burqa ban,” prohibiting facial coverings in public spaces.
Police officers in the city of Zurich fined a woman who covered her face for “religious reasons.” The woman refused to pay the penalty of ₣100 (€105), so the case will go to the canton governor’s office who will rule on the matter.
No further details are known of the case, but it is widely speculated in Swiss media that the woman was most likely wearing a burqa, an item worn by some Muslim women which fully covers the body and the face.

Many Orthodox Jewish women also cover their hair when they go out in public. They’ll either wear a wig or some other very subtle covering. You’d never know.
Not so with the Muslims. They arrogantly shove it in your face.
By the way, the hair-covering thing is often used by Muslim immigrants as an excuse to rape Western women.

Saw the same thing at Kohl's not too long ago. Of course, only the woman was covered up, the husband and kids were dressed like typical Americans.
Excellent. If you don’t like it...if you find it offensive....if you think it some kind of insult against your religion...DO NOT GO THERE. You will not be welcome. The rules in Zurich (should be the entire western world) is that you do not cover your face in public. This is the same as if a woman from the West or Far East went to somewhere in the Muslim world and insisted that she did not need to cover her hair.
The community standard in our country is that you do not cover your face. Live with it or don’t come. I don’t give a damn if you don’t like it.
Face recognition cannot work if supposed women are allowed to mask. Try going into a bank with a face mask, or even a hat.
Your face is not private if you leave your house. Pi$$ on your made up version of religion.
I seem to recall pig carcasses being buried at proposed mosque sites in Switzerland a few years ago. They might be a neutral country but they sure know how to give a fella like me the warm and fuzzies.
