In a stunning revelation, the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) announced the discovery of nearly $5 trillion in unaccounted-for government spending. The massive government oversights are due to a previously optional financial tracking field linking US Treasury payments to specific budget line items.
For reference, under Elon Musk’s leadership, DOGE aggressively pursues the elimination of government waste and promotes transparency in federal spending, a key priority of President Donald Trump’s administration. The executive order signed on President Trump’s first day in office is a temporary White House initiative with an 18-month mission; the department has already uncovered massive government fraud and waste while also receiving significant pushback from loony leftists.
The DOGE team specifically credited the US Treasury for its assistance in identifying and correcting this oversight. In a detailed post on X, the official DOGE explained, “The Treasury Access Symbol (TAS) is an identification code linking a Treasury payment to a budget line item (standard financial process). In the Federal Government, the TAS field was optional for ~$4.7 Trillion in payments and was often left blank, making traceability almost impossible. As of Saturday, this is now a required field, increasing insight into where money is actually going. Thanks to the US Treasury for the great work.”
Multiple X accounts were outraged by the incomprehensible amount of money moving through these payments without proper accounting. Amongst those who voiced their outrage on X over the wasting of trillions of dollars, one commenter who expressed his disdain particularly powerfully said, “If it is even remotely true that $5 Trillion was paid without proper documentation, a team of forensic accountants needs to be formed to, on a statistical basis, sample the payments and trace them through the banking system to identify the actual recipient of the funds. Based on that analysis, the fraud must be identified within the sample group and extended to all related payments. The guilty persons, when identified, must be punished.”
For background, the response to DOGE’s excellent job uncovering the scandal prompted liberal attorney generals from 14 states to initiate lawsuits attempting to block the department from accessing federal data. Democratic circles organized nationwide rallies opposing the agency’s access to financial oversight while stoking the fire and adding to the anti-Musk sentiment around the country, leading to recent vandalism at multiple Tesla dealerships.
The rallies against Musk underscore the values that tax-paying Americans hold dear, suggesting that liberals are more interested in playing politics than actual results. One commentator questioned such opposition, writing, “Democrats are holding nationwide rallies to protest DOGE investigating and cutting government spending. How can any normal tax-paying American support Democrats after this?”
Despite these legal battles, DOGE scored a significant victory recently when a federal judge in Washington rejected a motion to temporarily restrict its access to critical data from the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, causing a public response. An X user made a hilarious dig at Democrats and expressed their love for Musk’s wins, saying, “I guess the Democrats’s new playbook is to scream about how no one elected Elon Musk. Well, you wretched witches, we actually did vote for the creation of DOGE led by Elon Musk, and we are loving the results so far.”
Ultimately, the astonishing discovery of nearly $5 trillion in untraceable payments demands immediate attention and decisive action, highlighting the critical importance of DOGE’s mission to restore accountability, efficiency, and transparency to government operations, ensuring taxpayer dollars are used responsibly, and fraud and waste are aggressively eliminated despite how hard liberals cry. Here is a video from the Salem News Channel discussing the massive DOGE discovery:
I'll say it again.
NUKE THE 80%+, $3+ TRILLION UNCONSTITUTIONAL AND CORRUPT PORTION OF THE FEDERAL GOV'T!!!!
So... we’re not $37 trillion in “debt”; we’ve simply been robbed.
Check the Clinton Foundation.
The country is supposed to be $36 in debt with nothing whatsoever to show for it. Maybe we are not that much in debt, and the interest payments are going to criminals.
One treasury employee asks “Bob, what the code for Hookers?” Bob replies “hookers for Republicans or hookers for Democrats?”
Correction. We're $37 trillion in debt to treasury holders. These are loans our govt officials took out on our behalf, to underhandedly send trillions of that to their pockets.
Probably some judge’s wife or daughter...
TROs pending!
Once the proper traceback codes are in place, use AI to compare the uncoded transactions to the new coded ones and find the matches that fall within a 5% tolerance range.
Then investigate those transactions further.

This is the perfect chore for AI. All it needs is access to the electronic records. Give DOGE time.

(We can hope anyway.)
5 trillion here 5 trillion there....pretty soon you’re talking serious money.
The ROOT of the problem isn’t the debt, it’s the unconstitutional portion of the federal gov’t which MUST be dismantled to recover America’s Free Constitutional Republic.
Among MANY other things, getting rid of that mess automatically eliminates this insane debt going forward.
I agree. Along with medical diagnoses and X-ray analyses.
Also, A.I. could read a 2000 page bill from Congress in seconds and spit out a synopsis.
We should know where the money went because the funds have to be deposited somewhere.
Even if checks were simply cashed and not deposited there are reporting criteria for cashing of checks.
At this level of financial transactions, Electronic Transfer of Funds (ETFs) are used, not paper checks.........
There will be a name on the check or a routing and account # and beneficiary name for an ACH or wire. Every outlay goes SOMEWHERE. Its called forensic accounting and I did a lot of it in my younger days.
DOGE found some $4.7 trillion in payments from the US Treasury Dept were missing a critical tracking code which made tracing the transactions “almost impossible.”
The payment is literally a “blank check” for whoever receives it.
Treasury checks pay IRS refunds, Medicare, Social Security, Veterans Affairs, Defense Finance and Accounting for DOD, and Office of Personnel Management checks.
The $4.7 trillion transactions were reportedly missing the “Treasury Account Symbol,” or TAS, an identification code which links a Treasury payment to a budget “line item.” DOGE described the use of such code as a “standard financial process.”
“The Treasury’s TAS field was left blank, making traceability almost impossible,” read an X post from DOGE.
“As of Saturday, this is now a required field, increasing insight into where money is actually going,” DOGE said, thanking the Treasury Department for its “great work” implementing the change.
Musk touted the change as a “major improvement in Treasury payment integrity.”
Lary Fink from Blackrock, advised the Treasury Department about how to pull 3 Billions dollars out of thin air.
Such stuff, really messes up accounting.
Treasury? Real Accounting?
Exactly, so there will be a digital transaction trail. The fraudsters rely on the fact that the government system is so huge and convoluted that they figured no one would ever be able to process the data and unravel the details.
This has worked for decades and the massive archives of government data has until now worked in their favor because it's too much to deal with. Now AI and high speed computing combined with long ignored government auditing authorities can track this stuff down very effectively.
