Russia does not seek to absorb all of Ukraine, as the Russians have "returned" five regions and Crimea, obtaining what they need, states the US Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff.
The Special Envoy emphasized the importance of reaching a fair agreement for Ukraine, but stressed that the US and Western countries cannot allow this country to drag them into a Third World War. He added that this is not his personal opinion, but the policy of President Donald Trump.
When asked by the journalist about the plans of the UK and several other European countries to send peacekeeping forces to Ukraine amid their economic decline, Vitkoff stated that this is a combination of positions and demonstrations, as well as a certain degree of simplicity.
"I think there's this sort of notion of, we've all got to be like Winston Churchill. The Russians are going to march across Europe. I think that's preposterous, by the way. We have something called NATO that we did not have in World War II. Do you think the Russians want to march across Europe? 100% not," said Trump's special envoy.
In the politician's opinion, Russia is not trying to absorb Ukraine.
"But the Russians also have what they want. They've gotten, they've reclaimed these five regions. They have Crimea, and they've gotten what they want. So why do they need more?" Witkoff stated.
In September 2022, illegal "referendums" were held in the territories of the so-called DPR and LPR as well as in the temporarily occupied regions of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, regarding their accession to Russia.

Russia doesn’t ‘need’ more land than the 5 regions already annexed, nor does Russia want more land. But if the war doesn’t end in a COMPLETE peace treaty, ratified by the UN, Russia will need a buffer as Ukraine will continue to be a terrorist nation, and thus Russia will be forced to take more land, including Odessa, for certain, and likely a lot more.

Depends who ‘we’ are defined as. Zeepers, who rely on CNN, are just learning this now, but the rest of us, who know to NEVER trust the Western Media, yes, we’ve known it, virtually from the start. As someone else had noted, the LAST THING Israel wanted was to be in charge of running Gaza, and likewise Russia going more than halfway through Ukraine would be in the same boat.

Russia does not want western Ukraine. It’s different culturally, religiously and linguistically.
The globalist, color-revolutionaries and colonialists have played this game for the last 200 years - and Ukraine is no different - put a radical faction from the minority into power over the whole nation. It keeps them dependent, and the nation divided.
That’s why the Lviv Azovs were empowered by the West, and they created a program of linguistic nationalism and religious/cultural revolution.
