Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) called for the government to reveal what it’s spending taxpayer money on relating to Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) amid growing calls from lawmakers for increased transparency on the issue.
“They’re spending tens of millions of dollars on this subject. And then they turn around tell us they don’t exist,” the Tennessee Republican told NewsNation’s Blake Burman on “The Hill” Friday.
Burchett stressed the need for greater government transparency on extraterrestrial life while discussing the recent hiring of former intelligence officer and UFO whistleblower David Grusch by Rep. Burlison (R-Mo.).
“I think he can help us ask questions that need to be asked, that should be asked, that maybe we’re not asking the right questions because we’re not supposed experts on this,” Burchett said of Grusch.
“I want to know what they’re spending the money on,” he later added.
The topic of UAPs has received greater attention from Congress in recent years, with congressional hearings in 2024 and 2023 diving deeper into whether or not government sectors are withholding evidence from lawmakers.
...
Grusch, an Air Force veteran and former member of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, made headlines in 2023 after he claimed the government is withholding information about UFOs and UAP and that it has recovered nonhuman crafts with nonhuman species inside, among other things.

UFO/UAP ping.
Trump did say that he would release his information so I’m looking forward to that
A lot of fraud went into USAID.
But I think a lot more fraud goes into the “black budget” items for DOD and CIA and other areas. We are not allowed to know what they spend the money on. And it is a lot of money. I suppose some of it is on advanced technology. But I bet a lot of it is to fund Major Media and convince the public that Republicans are racists.
My understanding is that there was an effort to get Rep. Comer, chair of the House Oversight Committee, to hire David Grusch as an adviser or staff member for the committee. But the committee rejected that proposal, reportedly due to Grusch’s high profile.
So instead, Rep. Burlison, a member of both the Oversight Committee and the UAP Caucus, brought Grusch on as a personal adviser, which still allows him to influence the committee’s direction on UAP matters—albeit indirectly.
As far as I can tell, this is a part-time job.
It has been reported that Musk, DOGE, and Trump know the names of many in DC who have been involved in this massive fraud against the country. Even if people aren’t indicted, I think Trump will be able to use this knowledge to force them to turn state’s evidence (and more).
Agreed—”national security” is probably worth a few trillion of waste, fraud, abuse and evil.
The rabbit hole is very deep.
Congress has no clue what they are walking into...
Correct me if I am out of touch—but Grusch has still not gotten a SCIF hearing with a Congressional committee where he can name names?
I’ve heard it both ways. There are people who say that he had an 11 hour SCIF sessions (some say this was reported by Ross Coulthart) and others say it hasn’t happened because Grusch lacks the current clearance for a SCIF session.
No wonder I am confused on this topic!
LOL. I’ve heard it said that part of the reason for his being hired by Burlison is to get him into a SCIF session.
HOORAY Rep. Tim Birchett
Comer, Burlison, Luna, Burchett and others probably considered hiring Grusch to advise the committee but thought, for appearance's sake, it would be better for him to be hired by one of the committee members instead.
This looks like a push, albeit an unofficial one so far.
Wouldn’t be surprised if the committee has already talked to Hegseth and Ratcliffe about this.
Almost forgot—speaking of Grusch—here is a great video on the details of the 1933 Magenta, Italy UFO case which Grusch mentioned in his Congressional testimony and other interviews:
It has lots of Italian newspaper articles and government (Mussolini) correspondence/orders on the subject.
Mussolini’s press policy on this topic was very clear (even in Italian)—say what we tell you or you will be shot!
Thx. I’ll check it out.
