Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer just admitted on PBS that Democrats intentionally stacked the courts with 235 “progressive judges” in order to stop President Donald Trump “time after time after time.”

Since President Trump triumphantly returned to the White House on January 20, 2025, his administration has faced an all-out legal assault — not from Congress or the will of the American people — but from a weaponized judicial branch hijacked by radical leftists.

In just under two months, President Trump has been hit with 132 legal challenges, with only two resolved.

And now, Chuck Schumer has admitted it all on national television.

Appearing on PBS NewsHour, the far-left New York Democrat couldn’t resist gloating about the left’s scheme.

When host Geoff Bennett asked if the nation is facing a “constitutional crisis,” Schumer didn’t hesitate to spill the beans.

Geoff Bennett: There are those who believe that we are, in real time, living through an assault on the constitutional order. Do you believe that we are in a constitutional crisis right now?

Chuck Schumer: Yes. Our democracy is at risk because Donald Trump shows that he wishes to violate the laws in many, many different ways. The good news here is, we did put 235 judges—progressive judges, judges not under the control of Trump—last year on the bench, and they are ruling against Trump time after time after time.

We hope that the appellate courts, when it gets up there in the Supreme Court, will uphold those rulings. They restored the money to NIH. They required that 8,000 federal employees have to come back. We’re in over 100 lawsuits against them, and we are having a good deal of success. It’s only at the lower court level right now.

This has been the problem all along, the Supreme Court has witnessed more than 100 cases being brought in a transparent attempt to govern through the courts when the left can no longer govern through Congress or the executive. So far, the Supreme Court has ruled the wrong way and permitted this circus to continue.

The result is likely to be the kind of catastrophe that we saw on January 6,2021 when the American public felt that it had no place, no court, to litigate its belief that the election was crooked and so was left with the sole option of exercising its constitutional right to petition its government. The result was a lawful and constitutionally authorized assembly to petition the government on January 6, for the redress of grievances that spun out of control, perhaps because loss of control was instigated by agent provocateurs insinuated among petitioners by their own government that culminated in a riot.

All of this could have been prevented by the court system, especially the Supreme Court, providing an open forum for the full litigation of the truth or falseness of the claims concerning the legitimacy of the election. On the whole, the court system declined to provide such a forum, often escaping that responsibility with arguments that the claimants lacked standing. The courts Lent their imprimatur to the election without fully litigating the claims.

So the frustration of roughly half the country simmered and was finally brought to a boil as our politics became like a pressure cooker that finally exploded on January 6, and only then did the courts step in – and step in they did.

Finally, the courts, the same district courts bedeviling us now, stepped in with real judicial malice and adjudicated, many believe, ruthlessly those who were caught up in the riots around the capital. Suddenly active, the courts converted patriots into insurrectionists.

Hundreds maybe more than a thousand were tried in what amounted to kangaroo courts with exculpatory evidence withheld, draconian sentences imposed, and with partisan judges acting as prosecutors. Many people served outrageous sentences, sometimes in isolation, sometimes without lifesaving medical attention, often denied access to counsel, and, with the consent and connivance of the judiciary, treated as enemies of the state.

If the Supreme Court continues to turn a blind eye to what its own court system is doing to our constitutional system in at least 99 district courts, the pressure cooker will explode again.

Chief Justice Roberts had better start looking to preserve the constitutional system of the United States rather than the reputation of his own court or both might be destroyed.
