During an exclusive sit-down interview with Marlow at the White House for The Alex Marlow Show podcast, Navarro explained mass immigration’s close relationship to free trade, where the cost of labor plummets, dragging down Americans’ wages.
“Both capital and labor are mobile, okay. Now think about that. So, depending on conditions, you’re in Britain, right, labor is mobile, and the next thing you know, you got the world coming in to your factories willing to undercut your wages by a significant amount,” Navarro said. “And then soon, everybody in these blue-collar English towns are speaking Polish or Czechoslovakian and whatever.”
Under former President Joe Biden, Navarro said, roughly all new job growth went to illegal aliens and legal immigrants, not American citizens.
“Immigration is fine if it benefits a country, but [not] if it totally destroys a country,” Navarro said.
“I mean, interesting statistic here — and I was surprised that the Biden regime even published it — if you look at the net new job creation during the Biden administration, virtually all of the new jobs were taken by illegal [immigrants],” Navarro continued. “And virtually all the people who lost their jobs, because it was a net, net kind of thing, were American citizens. I mean, that is freaking insane … That’s the Ricardian free trade model.”
Indeed, Breitbart News tracked such job figures throughout Biden’s term, finding the exact trend Navarro described.

As of April 2024, 43 million working-age native-born Americans from 16 to 64 years old were not in the labor force — about 8.5 million more than in the year 2000, CIS researchers found last year.
More specifically, the share of working-age native-born American men not in the labor force has increased from 11 percent in April 1960 to 22 percent in April of this year. If today’s labor force participation rate for these men matched the 1960s, there would be about 9 million more men in the workforce.
I believe it.
We are just scratching the surface of decades of treason by team Biden and co. Including Obama. Obama needed Biden to access the scam apparatus Biden had in place.
Those that weren’t taken by migrants were new gov’t employees.
As far as the decline in labor force participation rates, try decreasing transfer payments (e.g., welfare, food stamps, rent subsidies, etc) and see what happens. The gov’t’s “social net” is too wide and remains in place too long. Do you really need 26 weeks to find another job...if you’re seriously looking?
I wonder why they use the lowest age for the statistic as 16. Almost all 16-year-olds are still in high school and not working. At least use 18.
Jobs were sent to other countries, and people from other countries are brought here to work.

Same with the hospitals. Lots of nurses are foreign, I guess here on visas. I worked with several, two who came from Korea. They both worked like crazy and bought two houses each and sold them when the market went up. I don’t work there anymore but I would imagine they continued to do this sort of thing.
They were not interested at all in loving America. One of the other’s married an American and bragged to me now she could stay here.
That’s the Biden and Obama America. Foreigners taking over our country little by little.
Most jobs “created” under Biden went to foreign nationals. Most jobs were government jobs. American citizens got the leftovers.
You can go to FRED and look at the number of Federal Employees as they increased over Biden’s final year in office. It’s as if they were deliberately loading up the federal employee “resistance. Note: You can see a large temporary increase in 3rd quarter of 2020. I assume that was Covid related federal hiring.

I know there’s a shortage of teachers, and many schools are now hiring foreign teachers.
Is there a shortage of nurses, too? If so, I’d be surprised.
Most of us are here because our foreign ancestors emigrated here. So, we want to welcome immigrants who love this country.
But, right now, there aren’t enough jobs to go around. Many Americans are barely eking out a living, too often with little gig jobs.
