LOCKLAND, Ohio — One person has died and another person has been taken into custody after a multi-county police chase ended in a shooting involving police on Interstate 75 in Lockland Wednesday morning.
The incident shutdown all northbound lanes near the end of the Lockland split for hours, but the roadway reopened just before 7:40 a.m.
It started at 2:45 a.m. West Chester police say a license plate reader flagged the suspect vehicle as stolen. When officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, it fled, leading to a pursuit.
Lockland police say they were called to assist in locating multiple people who had fled from the pursuit.

A month or so ago some "white nationalist" showed up from out of state and hung banners on the bridge over I-75. Technically, everything they did was legal so the police in Evendale did not arrest anyone. That angered the residents of Lincoln Heights (minority community at one end of the bridge). There have been a few counter protests since then. Now the police have shot and killed a black man at the exact location of the protests.
What did the banners say?
“ What did the banners say?”
They displayed the Swastika. As for the others I don’t remember. Your typical display. I guess they were Neo Nazis.
Cincinnati has certainly gone to hell. It’s as bad as Dayton these days. I used to work on Gettysburg Ave. in Dayton 40 years ago. After nearly being murdered there, I fled back to Cincinnati. By the time I retired, Cincinnati was just as dangerous (Bond Hill, Avondale, West End).
So how much trouble are Mauritanians causing in Lockland these days?
“When officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, it fled, leading to a pursuit.”
‘Nuff said...
The vehicle “fled” all by itself? Was it a Tesla?
I would agree that hanging a Swastika will make people uneasy
From the article: “On-scene officers provided life-saving medical care to the suspect, who has only been identified by officials as a man, but *they* were pronounced dead at the scene.” (my emphasis)
“THEY”??
Either poor writing (no surprise these days), or there’s more to the story than what was published...
