The people have spoken.
The United Nations were wrong?
Non-possible!
The United Nations prediction was something like “More people in the future are going to do what we tell them to do, and they’re going to like it or else”.
Also the global left: All western nations should quit making power dependable and cheap.
I have a 34” inseam and orthopedic issues.
That’s why we now have an SUV.
We have a tuna can, too, but it’s the only one on the market I can sit in for a limited amount of time.
Neither are EVs.
And won’t be any time soon.
“The United Nations were wrong?
Non-possible!”
Or in France....Sacré bleu!
Electric cars were never about personal nor family transportation
Electric cars were simply about the virture signal and opportunity to be superior to others
Batteries don’t last long in the cold northern states and you cannot drive a little electric car through a foot of snow.
I can’t drive to camp in an EV to work.
People should drive whatever they want. Some folks like evs. Some, muscle cars. I like my truck and suvs. BMWs are a thing with a certain type of person, too, I guess.
I mentioned two Expeditions because I keep a spare that is pretty much identical. As I have often said, the only thing more reliable than a new car is two used cars. Also, since I park both side-by-side and visible from the road, it always looks like I'm home.
We’re doing our part.
I had a Mercedes GLC300 and the wife had a Toyota Highlander with 3rd row seating...
Now we have a single RAV 4...face it - SUVs are safer...
We proudly own nothing but villains of the road. An SUV and three full size pickups.
Our nearest shopping town (we live 90 miles into the boonies) was trying to revitalize it’s downtown shopping district. So they built a huge indoor parking facility. They spent millions on it. Keep in mind this is a rural state where everyone and their pet kitten drives full size pickups or SUV’s.
We tried this new parking facility out when it was done. Our F150 would not fit without extensive seesawing back and forth to get into the parking spot that was so small we could barely open the doors. The place was designed for small cars.
The push for electric cars has always been to limit people to an area, the limiting of people’s ability to travel long distances independently is vital for the dem/prog/commies and their 15 minutes cities and whatever idiocy is swimming between their ears.
“The global left: Everyone should drive EV’s!
Also the global left: All western nations should quit making power dependable and cheap”
The small EVs they tried to force on us are the automotive version of “you vill eat ze bugs.”
Aerodynamics of fuel consumption force sameness
Drivers need an SUV to navigate the ever worsening roads. These governments are bankrupt as the potholes clearly indicate.
