“About 30 NATO officers were trapped in the Kursk region, according to the coordinator of the pro-Russian resistance, citing sources in the underground. Now it becomes clear why Europe was so alarmed. During the fighting in the Kursk region, according to the pro-Russian Mykolaiv resistance, about 30 career officers from NATO countries were surrounded.”

Interesting. If true, how could NATO military officers get themselves into this position?

“ It’s Pravda.”

So you’re saying it is more reliable and accurate than NYT, AP, PBS. NPR, etc?

NATO officers in militarily occupied Russian territory? Clearly an accident - how dare Russia put their country so close to NATO.

Maybe we can trade them for Victoria Nuland. I’m sure the Rooskies would treat her well.

I think it was Europeon NATO officers and the Eurpeons begged Trump to ask Putin to let the Europeon officers go yesterday. That is why Trump asked Putin yesterday to let the surrounded “Ukrainian solders” go because most of them were officers from Europeon NATO countries. And France, Germany, etc. think they can win ANY WAR? LOL!

I don’t know what Former is saying, but I repeat the old Soviet era saying: “There is no news in Izvestia and there is no truth in Pravda.” I don’t trust Pravda a lot more than I trust Reuters.

If there’s any truth to it, the Russians may be calling them NATO soldiers, but they are actually guys from NATO countries who signed up to fight for Ukraine.

Probably tech officers trying to figure out a way to hide the ku-band transmission from Starlink since Russia is triangulating and shelling them every time they fire it up.

Grey suitcases would have been extracted before the cauldron escape routes closed. If little old me could see it coming, military officers certainly could have.

“Interesting. If true, how could NATO military officers get themselves into this position?”

By thinking they’re smarter than Russians, perhaps?

The pocket was ~500 sq. miles (about 20 X 25 miles in other words). There were 2 roads in, both under heavy fire and littered with destroyed vehicles along their length for weeks before now. How many “observers” would be needed, and to what purpose? I doubt so many were there so innocently.

Well Trump asked Putin to spare their lives and Putin did it, but now France, Germany and others will be on Trump to get them out of Russian prison.

“If true”

“Pravda” translates into English as “Truth”

The other old Soviet news outlet was Izvestia, which translates as “News”.

As the old Russian joke observed, there was no truth in the news, and no news in the truth...
