Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) is once again accusing President Donald Trump of trying to start a civil war, the accusation coming as he works to deliver on his campaign promises to the American people.
During a recent issues retreat in Virginia, Waters claimed his policies regarding cutting government waste, firing many federal workers, and imposing tariffs had a more sinister goal, the Hill reported on Friday.
According to the outlet, Waters said:
This president is putting us in a position where hungry people are going to be on the street. Where nonprofits, who were waiting for their checks, are not gonna get them. Where seniors waiting for their Social Security check, will not get it. Where poor families with children will not get what they believe the government has agreed to do.
And so when that happens, what does Trump expect? Oh, I believe he expects violence. I believe he expects confrontation. I believe he’s working towards a civil war.

Occasionally in my long career there were people in positions of power who everyone knew were unsuited for the position. They were ignored, or humored when possible. Sometimes they were able to put the company into a situation it couldn’t recover from. One guy went to a trade show and committed the company to buying essentially an entire new plant’s worth of machines they didn’t have a place for or money to pay for. The thing is people like that are dangerous. In this case, however, the danger is to her party and allies. So, nuke the popcorn and sit back for the show.
Did they get fired?
You’re not totally off as we expect you all to be the ones starting it but we will finish it.

In the cases I can think of offhand, the companies went under. When you have someone like that in a position of power, it indicates there’s more than just that wrong. They can’t be fired because they own too much stock, or they’re part of a dysfunctional family. Or, they have “The Goods” on someone.
General Dynamics had a guy so bad and so inherently stupid-dangerous; they bought him out fifteen years before he’d have been eligible to retire. They had to make the deal so good he’d take it. One of his “things” was he’d send around a big distribution email instructing us workers to do something obviously illegal. We’d meet at the printer because the moment it dropped everyone sent their copy to the printer. THAT kind of stupidly dangerous. Since they couldn’t stop him from sending those out, the options were: have him killed, fire him, or buy him out. They opted to buy him out.

Projection. If they are not allowed to basically enslave us and FORCE us to give them excessive money via taxes for them to misspend, then they have to kill a few of us to get the rest to get back in line.
