A United Nations judge was convicted on Thursday of trafficking a young woman to the United Kingdom and forcing her to work as a slave.
Ugandan judge Lydia Mugambe, 49, "exploited and abused" the victim, prosecutors said, forcing her to work as an unpaid maid and caregiver while barring her from seeking other employment. A jury found Mugambe guilty of multiple offenses, including facilitating illegal immigration, forced labor, and witness intimidation

About 5 years ago I observed part of a “modern day slavery case” as described by one of the local papers in Oxford. Very interesting.

You can take the judge out of Uganda, but you can’t take the Uganda out of the judgd.
In many ways they are indeed much worse than Russia. Russia will leave you alone as long as you just follow laws that are intended to keep the general peace and not challenge the government.
EU will not, they keep creating laws that are designed to force you to think and behave in unnatural ways and seek to prevent wrong think.
The EU is more like the old USSR whereas the current USSR is becoming more like the Old Europe post WW2

As in America, we have biased courts and fair courts, so does the UK. The difference is currently the American population voted to abandon this insanity the UK is stepping on the gas pedal to make it worse.
They do not get pass.
For a minute I thought it was a US judge. With the low quality of judges in the US it’s just a matter of time.
If slavery is outlawed only Ugandans will have slaves.
Slavery is probably more common here than you’d think. A Saudi businessman living just across the river from DC was arrested for (essentially) slavery of a housekeeper a few years ago.
Gotta respect judges these days.

And again I repeat the UN is nothing but a VIP lounge for dictators terrorists and human traffickers. The only good thing about the UN campus is that it’s an excellent example of mid 20th century architecture. The govt should take it over and throw the SOBs out. Then sell the site to Trump’s kids for $1, and let them negotiate with the Mohawks to convert it into a resort and casino.
