The minister pointed out that "Catholicism now is more and more deviating toward the new trends which we cannot understand and which we would not accept"
MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov believes that the United States has now begun to return to normalcy without anti-Christian ideas.
"I think what is going on in the United States is a return to normalcy," Lavrov told US bloggers Mario Nawfal, Larry Johnson and Andrew Napolitano in an interview.
"So, it's back to normalcy as we understand normalcy. We are Orthodox Christians. The values are basically the same through Catholicism," the foreign minister clarified.
In his opinion, "the fact is that a normal administration without any, you know, unchristian ideas came to power."
The minister pointed out that "Catholicism now is more and more deviating toward the new trends which we cannot understand and which we would not accept."
The course for a "return to normalcy" of the new US administration led by President Donald Trump provoked "an explosion in the media, in the politics all over the world," Lavrov said, which, in his opinion, is "very telling."
The minister pointed out that “Catholicism now is more and more deviating toward the new trends.”
banning the Latin Mass
Holy Mother Church can’t ban itself.
Whatever is trying to ban authentic Catholicism can’t be Catholic.
Talk about a headline I never thought I would see!

Sergey - we’ve only had 7 weeks of Trump/Vance
There’s still a lot of post-modern, angry, woke neo-marxists in America who just got kicked out of national power, but they haven’t gone away.
Check back in 5 years....
I absolutely agree about the direction of Catholicism esp under this pope, but also don’t think WWJD is anywhere near what russia is doing under the guise of being orthodox. I esp like the russian orthodox priest blessing the statue of stalin.

Christians in America bless animals around St. Frances of Assi Day, we bless ships being launched and fleets of personal boats, motorcyclists, horse and riders, and on and on.
True, and the reason to bless statue of Stalin is?
Isn’t that a Catholic thing?
Because Stalin was an atheist dictator of Russia and the Orthodox church in Russia is a government church?
Coming from a Hamas-loving Russian, that’s rich.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has compared US President Donald Trump’s “America First” concept to Nazi propaganda.
Palestinian love for Mein Kampf, meanwhile, perfectly OK with Mr. Lavrov..
Sergey “no we are not invading just exercising” Lavrov is just a habitual liar:
Ukraine’s president demands to see US evidence that Russia will ‘invade on Wednesday’ as Moscow accuses the West of ‘propaganda campaign’: Biden will call Putin today as Americans are told to leave NOW and the final US troops in the country evacuate, UK Daily Mail, February 12, 2022 | Keith Griffith
Of course, that was right before they actually did invade.
The UN Charter should become the legal foundation of a multipolar world

He and George Soros can certainly agree on that.
Especially coming from a die hard Hamas terrorist supporter, eh?
“We pay tribute to Hugo Chavez, who passed away 10 years ago, leaving a deep mark not only in the history of his country and Latin American, but also in the history of the world community,” Lavrov said, pointing out that the late Venezuelan president was an unwavering defender of equality in international affairs.”
We all know what a fine upstanding Christian Hugo Chavez was. Big friend of Francis the Red, the Hippie Pope.
And shouldn’t believe
No because Stalin was responsible for the deaths of millions of his own citizens through starvation, work camps er ah reeducation camps…., perhaps they can bless a statue of Pol Pot as well.
