I was going to Toronto regularly in 90’s as we were transferring work to a plant near the airport.
If I flew up, I would get hassled for 1-2 hrs as they tried to get me to admit to seeking employment in Canada. I was actually creating jobs for Canucks. If I drove up they would always pull me out of line and check my car with the dogs and search it for guns, I think because of the North Carolina plates. Once again, trying to get the Canucks issues with what was new production to them ironed out. Canada hates the US, because they fear us.
