The new Liberal leader will likely call an election in the next two weeks, former deputy prime minister Sheila Copps says as the party gathers in Ottawa on the final day of its leadership contest.

In an interview with The West Block’s Mercedes Stephenson, Copps says that if former Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney emerges as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s replacement on Sunday evening, as he is presumed to do, he could call an election before March 24, when Parliament resumes.

Well not unexpected, the question is if the Canadian electorate rejects the lies of their liberal media, CBC, etc. as the American electorate did.

The Liberal party has gained a lot of support due to Trump’s tariff threats. A real waste of energy that has not gained us anything thus far.

I understand, but maybe the American and Canadian media will overplay their hands.

Call me Pollyannish.

As a politician, she let it slip that politicians don’t care about good policy. They only care to win.

I don't have any special vision to Trump's plans or the future - but one thing seems clear - Trump is waging war on what he views as the London-Brussels-Davos neo-marxist deep-state, which is the EU half of the American deep-state.

And Canada is one of their main outposts. They are about the elevate Mark Carney, who is a UK/Davos globalist straight out of WEF central casting.

Perhaps Trump views Poiliviere as simply a right-of-center "CINO" within the UK commonwealth deep-state. That's why he's not bothering help him.
