Too many Democrats
The New Criterion ^ | March 5, 2025 | James Piereson

Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency is turning over the rocks in the nation’s capital, every day revealing some ridiculous federal expenditure for DEI programs in Serbia, LGBTQ+ comic books in Guatemala, and climate programs everywhere. These abuses, as many say, are the inevitable by-product of allowing unelected bureaucrats to make regulations and decisions about spending without proper review or oversight. It comes as no surprise to find out that they have been abusing their privileges.

Some of this is no doubt true: bureaucracy is a longstanding challenge in democratic societies. But there is a deeper problem: nearly all of these bureaucrats are Democrats—and Democrats think differently about power and public service than Republicans do. This is the main factor that gives rise to the slanted politics of the capital. It has a parallel in Marshall McLuhan’s dictum from decades ago that “the medium is the message”: the content of a television show is immaterial compared to the fact that people are watching television in the first place. The key factor in the capital is not so much what is decided, but who decides it. The medium, so called, is more important than the message.

***

The city is overwhelmingly populated by Democrats—and, on top of that, by the most partisan and far-left Democrats. Over the past five presidential elections, an average of 91 percent of the vote in the city has gone to Democratic candidates. In neighboring counties in Maryland and Virginia, Democrats typically carry between 70 and 80 percent of the vote. A majority of the between 200,000 and 300,000 federal bureaucrats living in those jurisdictions are Democrats, and they (quite logically) use their powers to advance Democratic Party causes.

This longish article is worth reading. It clearly identifies the major problem in Washington D. C. (it's true in Washington State also).

In Kalifornia, the Public Employees Union owns the State. There is the huuuuge California Public Employees Retirement System (CALPERS). If there are ever any shortfalls in CALPERS, it is mandated that the Kalifornia general fund make up the difference. Right now there are billions and billions in CALPERS. Perhaps some 10 years ago, some idiots in CALPERS started to divest of ‘incorrect’ investments. When the CALPERS Board of Directors found out, they made it clear that the fund managers were to concentrate on one thing, and one thing only: increase the fund through investment that, wait for it, make $$$. Oil, Coca Cola, whatever it was.

Very good article, it show a root cause of most of our problems.

No wonder, that juries in DC decide according to party affiliation. Reps - guilty as charged, Dems - not guilty!

Robert Hur report on Biden’s was actually genial, regarding to circumstances. If he brought charges, Biden would be cleared by DC jury. Instead, he wrote a report embarrassing Biden’s faculties! It started to snowball on Biden from there!

Translation...a conservative republican president swimming in that pool of sharks has to have elephant balls. PDJT literally dodged a bullet aimed at his head. He's qualified. And man is he pissed (as am I). God bless and protect PDJT!!

The dilemma is that the obvious solution is morally unacceptable.

I’d be curious to know if anyone has ever done a breakdown of what % of both parties work for some form of government, local, state, and federal. I’ve seen a federal one based on who gave political donations to which party/candidate, but it didn’t really breakdown what % of fed employees made political donations, so it was kind of flawed. I think it was actually broken down by agencies/departments.

DC should not have home rule

Residents of DC should not be able to vote in federal elections

Government employee unions should be outlawed. My dad told me that 60 years ago. He was right.

Let’s not be exclusively severe with the Dems. There is a population of GOP elephants who love them some Uncle Sugar Daddy.

We're in the Last Days before the 7-year Tribulation.

Genesis 19:27-28 KJV

27 And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord:

28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.

And let's not forget the "leadership" of Democrat
Manchurian Candidate Barack Hussein Obama

The Democratic Party has become
the Party of Godless Reprobate Agendas

(pro-LGBTQ+)

All according to plan.

All according to Satan's plan.

Barack Obama is all about LGBTQ+ - There's your "transgender" salesman, America

The abomination of America's White House under the rule of Godless Reprobate
Barack Hussein Obama must never be forgotten - this man is a tool of Satan

Manchurian Candidate Barack Hussein Obama is a Godless Reprobate
false prophet doing (his true father's) Satan's work for a long time now

June 26, 2015 was the Rainbow White House
