Three Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) supervisors involved with the scandal in which aid workers were advised to bypass homes with Trump signs in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton have been fired.
That makes four in total, given their walking papers over the incident.
The news appears to contradict former FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell, who told members of the House Oversight Committee that the shocking directive involved a lone employee.
The New York Post reports that Cameron Hamilton, the agency's current acting administrator, sent a letter to Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) advising her of the results of an “exhaustive investigation” into the matter.
“[I]t is essential that the entire workforce understand that this incident was reprehensible, and this type of behavior will not be tolerated at FEMA,” Hamilton wrote, according to the Post.
He is also developing further training for FEMA employees that seeks "to reinforce that political affiliation should never be a consideration in the rendering of assistance.”

Despicable. They intentionally put lives in danger over politics.
Some folks may not realize that supervisors and managers in the federal government have no union protection and can be fired on the spot.
Name names. This was agency head nuanced foolishness. Pleasing your commandant gets you promoted.
What is also despicable is that the remaining/unfired turds in charge at FEMA have only fired these arseholes instead of referring them for prosecution.
Did they break a law? If yes, then arrest them. Otherwise, the DJT adimin is not an improvement.
OK hurricane victims....round up the ambulance chasers and create thousands of individual lawsuits to sue these RATs into oblivion.
They need to experience the same HELL as the Trump supporters did, only these bureaucRATs are actually criminals who caused harm to US citizens.
Until people see jail time for these outrages, they will simply continue. Firing is not enough.
All they got was “fired”?
So now they’re eligible for unemployment benefits. Wow that’s some prison sentence. Just like the ones Roger Stone and Steve Bannon got. Way to go, Repubs!
“..Until people see jail time for these outrages, they will simply continue. Firing is not enough....”
^THIS^ needs to happen as it’s the only way to get their attention and set a good example of what’s gonna happen when they pushe their BS.
Otherwise, these insane basstids will just shrug it off and continue to push their BS onto us. Locking a few of these arseholes up would be a great start.
BINGO!! NAME NAMES!! I’M SURE THERE’S MORE!!!
‘Someone’ is ALL OVER Appalachia with ads promoting FEMA...streaming services, electronic billboards, and more. Helene victims are IGNORING them...we’ve seen the crimes associated with FEMA employees...stolen checks, identity theft, and such.
Good!
Yeah, if anybody, these bitches need to be DOXed.
Only Three? Well, it's a start. Humm. Where are the prosecutions? What they did was unlawful.
Hundreds of people participated in this unlawful conduct. The rot was pervasive in this agency. FEMA should be disbanded and all of its' staff terminated from any government service.
Not that FEMA are the only ones guilty of unlawful behavior. That rot extents right down to some local governments in TN and NC who stole relief supplies and passed them out selectively to their friends and cronies.
The Federal government needs to clean up its' own operations before addressing relief activities mishandled by States that took Federal money for those activities.
Helene victims should ALL receive CASH DEPOSITS in their bank accounts (like the Feds did with COVID, so it CAN be done) based on assessed damage...do it by ZIP CODE, not county.
She wouldn’t lie would she?
He is also developing further training for FEMA employees that seeks “to reinforce that political affiliation should never be a consideration in the rendering of assistance.”
What a comment on our society (and the lack of civics in school) that this sort of training should even be necessary...
DEPENDING on reason for FIRING-—THEY MAY NOT GET UNEMPLOYMENT
I hope that getting them off payroll is just the first step..
But you are probably right, it is also the last step.
