Sunday, during his show’s opening monologue, FNC’s “Life, Liberty & Levin” host Mark Levin told his viewers there was nothing to be “giddy” about regarding Friday’s blowup between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Levin, who maintains he supports Ukraine’s cause, said Zelensky “blew it” during the meeting with Trump.
Transcript as follows:
Saturday, before — this past Saturday, I spent the monologue discussing the genius of the Trump plan with respect to rare earth minerals in Ukraine, the partnership with Ukraine, and what would it do? It would involve American private sector investments, hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars to extract rare earth minerals in Ukraine, which, for the most part, cannot do it, and certainly after the war, it can’t do it, which would help Ukraine in numerous ways more than the Marshall Plan.
Imagine that capital flowing into Ukraine, rebuilding its infrastructure. Imagine the number of Ukrainians getting jobs, the buildings going up, the highways being built.
Imagine the benefit to the United States. We would not only be making money, but we would have access to rare earth minerals that we need. We need for our defense, we need for our space system. We need for our medical industries

Yes - Levin is one of the original TDS sufferers. I think he is really trying to clawback some listeners after he went on an unhinged rant against Trump for calling Zelensky a dictator recently.
On occasion, Levin forgets the audience he is faking for and let’s his true globalist, anti-Trumpness out.

Then the author is badly misinformed. We have no shortage of rare earth minerals in the continental US. Ukraine has but 5% of the world's deposits.
Levin and Stephen Miller should see a speech therapist so they can learn to speak without screaming.

Levin doesn’t support Ukraine. He supports the war in Ukraine.
He wants the war in Ukraine to continue to be fought.

The deposits lie in the drainages from the Carpathian Mountains in the southwest of Ukraine north of Odessa. Putin would have to take ALL of Ukraine to get to them.
I can take Miller’s “exuberance”, but cannot tolerate Levin’s whine-scream thing.

All of what you say here is so true and why I never listen to him.
I’m not convinced that there are significant rare earth deposits in Ukraine. Maybe there are, maybe not, and maybe a large chuck of them are in Russian occupied regions. Ukraine does grow wheat and is a great train track for Russian oil and gas into Europe.
Maybe a way to a deal is to get Ukraine and Russia more economically intertwined. Maybe blowing up the Nord pipelines will have ended up being a good idea after all. Force them to work together.
Most of the EU feels like this and I don’t understand it. Its like the beginning of WW1 all over again.

The news I am getting this morning (Varney & Company Fox Business News channel), is that before Zelensky went to the White House he “consulted” with top U.S. Democrats, and THEY recommended to Zelensky that he not sign the minerals agreement worked out with Trump.
In essence, they - the Dims - wanted to sabatoge the negotiations with Zelensky and Trump
