Zelensky Refuses to Apologize After Outburst at Oval Office: ‘Not Sure We Did Something Bad’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that he was “not sure” he “did something bad” during his meeting with President Donald Trump, which resulted in him being kicked out of the White House.

During an interview with Fox News’s Bret Baier, Zelensky was asked if he felt he owed Trump “an apology.” The interview came after Zelensky was kicked out of the White House after making several “disrespectful” comments during a meeting “in front of the media” and ahead of the signing of a minerals deal.

“So, I’m not hearing from you, Mr. President, a thought that you owe the president an apology,” Baier questioned.

“No, I respect president and I respect American people, and if — I don’t know if … I think that we have to be very open and very honest, and I’m not sure we did something bad,” Zelensky answered.

Zelensky’s answer came after Baier stated that Trump said Zelensky had “disrespected him,” Vice President JD Vance, and the American people, and Baier questioned whether or not he felt he was disrespectful.

“President Trump said after your meeting that you disrespected him, and the vice president, and all of America in the Oval Office. Do you think you did, and do you think you owe an apology to President Trump?” Baier questioned.

“I’m very thankful to Americans for all your support. You did a lot,” Zelensky answered. “I’m thankful to President Trump and to Congress’s bipartisan support. And, I was always very thankful from all our people. You helped us a lot from the very beginning during three years of full-scale invasion. You helped us to survive.”

There’s no place for “not sure” if you’re President of a country who is fleecing every country who will fall for it. This damn war should have been over 2 years ago.

Zzzzellinskyyy is an arrogant grifting pig with the blood of millions on his hands. May he forever stand as an example of how not to live one’s life.

And in the present, may he return to UKR and suffer the righteous wrath of the people he has screwed.

Zelensky: Trump wouldn’t let me ride his new bike.
Trump: I won’t let him in the treehouse until he says he’s sorry for trashing me in front of the other buys.

It should be clear that he cannot lead. How long before an enterprising general has him arrested.

I think you are just disappointed that Putins peeps will have to wait a bit longer to shoot 5-10% of the Ukrainian population in the back of the head.

You lust for that, we know.

He has been leading pretty well to date. Ukraine still exists. That’s pretty much a stretch goal from the POV of 2/2022.

We are talking of existential matters here. If Ukraine loses you are talking of 10-20 million more refugees in Europe.

Tree houses and bikes?

…and I’m not sure we did something bad,” Zelensky answered.

Dude. You were kicked out of the White House. That doesn’t happen regularly.

Believe me, you did something bad.

The Democrats whispered sweet nothing in his ear. They are using him to try to turn the tide against Trump.

Because he didn’t surrender in 2022?
I know that disappointed you.
He probably saved a few million people from execution, and tens of millions from slavery.

There really is no peace deal of any sort here. He knows that. It is life or death, for millions, if the Ukrainians don’t hold.

Zelenski f'ed up by not using a formal interpreter. Even though he can speak English, he's not totally fluent at the intricacies of the language. This is why world leaders use interpreters for such critical, high-level meetings. Doing so allows them to carefully parse their words and think clearly about what is being said.

Most of these world leaders can speak at a minimum conversational English. But when you are meeting presidents to discuss foreign policy, conversational English doesn't cut it.

Even Putin, who speaks English much more fluently than Zelinski does, would never have attended such a meeting with a U.S. President without speaking in Russian and using an interpreter. An interpreter allows a foreign leader the ability to translate in his own mind what is being said against the baseline of how the interpreter is interpretating it and formulate a reply after weighing the words of both.

Also, Zelenski should've worn a suit, --as he was advised to. He can show up in a t-shirt when he's talking to the leaders of Canada, Britain, France, or Germany. Or Biden. These people don't matter.

Trump matters.

Zelenski came away looking like a rank amateur.

“The Democrats whispered sweet nothings in his ear.”

And that’s exactly what he walked away with- bupkis.

From the transcript of the exchange. This is the point where JD Vance exploded and President Trump followed suit.

J.D. Vance: The path to peace and the path to prosperity is maybe engaging in diplomacy... What makes America a good country is America engaging in diplomacy. That’s what President Trump is doing.

Volodymyr Zelensky: He [Putin] occupied various parts of Ukraine in 2014 ... We had a lot of conversations with him, including a bilateral conversation. As a new president in 2019, I signed with him a cease-fire deal alongside Macron and Merkel. All of them told me that he will never go. We also signed a gas contract with him. But after all of that, he broke the cease-fire. He killed our people, and he didn’t exchange prisoners. We signed the exchange of prisoners, but he didn’t do it. What kind of diplomacy, J.D., are you speaking about? What do you mean?

This is the crux of the ugly scenes in the White House.

USA is telling Ukraine to sign over its mineral wealth and “do a deal” with Putin, who hasn’t yet made a deal with Ukraine that he hasn’t broken. With no answer to the question, what happens when Putin breaks THAT deal.

Putin’s already said he won’t accept any American boots on the ground as a peacekeeping force. Trump’s basically said that’s fine, then Ukraine won’t have them. But Putin then said he wouldn’t accept European peace keepers either. So which peacekeeping force would he accept want? Kadyrovites? North Koreans?

Putin’s already negotiating in bad faith.

Ukraine is pointing out a perfectly legitimate problem... Exacerbated for the USA by the USA’s own position.

Consider this: if Ukraine signs the deal, American people fly into Ukraine to strip mine it, and Putin attacks Ukraine again, and hundreds of unarmed Americans die, what happens?

USA bugs out with egg on its face, then says sorry to Putin for any inadvertent provocation, then tears Zelenskyyi a new a-hole for being unable to protect American citizens?!

I mean, it’s not as if Zelenskyyi didn’t have a VERY valid point.

Grow up, Vance did not explode and Zelensky had no point. He went on a rant and insulted Vance, threatened America and was rude talking over Trump. He did this as a guest in the Oval office. He likely was coked out, even his own head diplomat was embarrassed, go look at her reaction, but I guess you now better than her.

Your ignorant pollical bias is just ugly in that post.

America is under no obligation to give him anything, when you come begging you don’t make demands. Why don’t you go peddler your ignorance to people in Europe, lets see how much they back Zelensky if America backs out totally.

Hint, Europe has already stated without America as a backstop they cannot effectively support Ukraine.
