A Brooklyn McDonald’s has introduced a controversial new policy: no one under 20 can enter without an adult. The Flatbush location implemented the rule after a surge in violent incidents and 911 calls, leading the owner to increase security and enforce an ID check at the door. FOX 5's Arthur Chi'en has the story.

We can’t ask for an ID to vote, but we can ask for an ID to go to McDonald’s?

Teens show they lack sufficient impulse control.

You may be wrong. Some teens are well into their 20’s.

Who is going to check ID? Fake ID. Extra costs for McDonald’s. Lawsuits.

If I’m a 17 year old who wants a couple of Egg Mcmuffins to cure a hangover, I have to bring my Dad with me.

Move the Mc D to more civil environs.
I’ve seen it done. And it was a good thing.
A whole lot less trash on the ground too.

A Flatbush McDonalds.
I know the area.
The “adults” will be a hair better than the 20 and unders.
Maybe.
Armed security would be a better idea.

One of them moved on from the Flatbush McDonald's over to Arnold's Drive-In of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and became a local legend.

The McDonald’s at the Junction? LOL. I don’t remember it being bad, but always busy. It’s a block away from Brooklyn College (so they’re preventing some college freshman from getting their coffee) but it’s also near Midwood High School and probably other schools in the other direction.
I just walked past there a couple days ago. I didn’t look for any sign in the window though.
