President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance were expecting a consequential but standard Oval Office appearance with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday.
Their appearance was anything but routine.
The meeting to announce a rare earth materials agreement between Ukraine and the United States as part of a pathway to peace between Ukraine and Russia deteriorated quickly after a combative Zelensky protested U.S. desire to draw down the long war.
“The president and vice president were caught off guard by Zelensky’s offensive antics,” a source familiar told Breitbart News.
Zelensky suggested Ukraine had been fighting the war alone, insisting more aid from the West was needed to provide leverage in continuing, not ending, the war.
He went as far as suggesting the U.S. would “feel” the consequences of war, in response to Vance telling Zelensky the U.S. was trying to bring an end to the European conflict.

It looked to me like Trump the negotiator lost control of the negotiation...but did he or is it all part of a ploy we don’t understand?
They can deal with it all by themselves for all I care (anymore)

I fully expect him to not play nice and accept his time on the world stage is nearly over. Expect him to bark as loudly as he can and leave do-do on the floor before he is put back on a leash and flown back from where he came.
Everyone lost their cool in front of the cameras today and Putin may have won the war as a result.
I really can’t believe that this guy has taken so much money and support from us, keeps asking for more, but can’t bother to put on a suit even when he’s politely informed that it’s protocol.
He’s a stupid drama queen. The Ukrainian people should demand his resignation and a new election.

Everyone lost their cool? Trump and Vance did a great job of restraining themselves in the face of Z’s petulance, arrogance and disrespect. Z definitely lost to Putin today, but that was inevitable, anyway.
Zelensky is about to be removed from office.
If Zelensky made a side deal with China he would WANT to blow up the deal. What other motivation is there to sabotage a deal that will end a war? A ‘better’ offer?
Ukraine Congress agreed to the agreement and Zelenski was supposed to sign.
That blond bimbo that runs the EU tweeted the Europeans stand behind Ukraine. Fine, write the checks and donate military equipment. We have other things to worry about.
Ever since Vietnam, I’ve been convinced that the democrat party is the enemy of the USA.
Just as we discovered that USAID has been funding our enemies, we will discover that the democrat party has plotted to destroy our civilization in order to impose slavery on us.
He has to realize he cannot win the war, he just can't. Also, getting help from other countries won't help him win it either--it can only prolong the misery.
