It was only a few days ago that Legacy Media was making a big deal about DOD had put on hold for its employees to respond to Musk’s email.

Well, it looks like the DOD Leadership has taken the time to determine if there would be any problems to require civilian DOD employees and apparently no problems were found.

I worked for the DoD for 30 years in at least 3 capacities and I could provide 5 bullet points for what I did in each job in one day.

If your doing your damned job it shouldn’t be a problem......also, this is an exercise to root out fictitious personnel, which is unbelievable to me but apparently it’s happening.

It will also root out Kamala Harris types who can only generate word salad emails.

That is probably 25% of the civilian work force.

I am wondering what DOD is going to require of the many consultants who do work for the DOD.

Will the consultants be required to respond or will the DOD simply cancel the consultant contracts?

Consultants have to turn in invoices.

Weekly reporting was standard at my Navy job. If you “forgot” too many times, you’d read about it during your semi-annual performance review.

In extreme cases, it would be cited in your termination paperwork.

Zero base budget the consultant contracts.

Go without for six months to see if you are missing anything important.

Listen to the wailing and grinding of teeth about filing a report on what they did last week on their jobs. They pretend like it's an extraordinary, burdensome order.

I had to file a report on my job activities nearly every week for 27 years. It's not an unusual or unreasonable order.

Forcing these delicate snowflakes to justify their tax-payer-funded paychecks by (gasp!) documenting what they actually do... or even by showing that they actually “do something” is the funniest thing yet in this new Trump administration. Way overdue and exceedingly appropriate. I’m running out of popcorn here.

If they lied about it, would it be found out?

Making the request makes no sense to me. Surely there is a better way to use the time available than reviewing 100,000’s of the emails or letters.

Good, let’s cut deep and NOT have to cut again. Cutting a second and third time weakens morale. Any good people accidentally let go can be rehired.

AI can find the Kamala Harris word salad crowd.

They become first in line for human review.

Easy Peasy.

The media doesn’t think, it just reports. Of course DOGE wasn’t going to ask our military for 5 things. Can you imagine:

1. Killed terrorists
2. Took Humvee in for service
3. Shooting range
4. Killed more terrorists
5. Wrote home to let wife and kids know I’m alive

I’d like to share your optimistic view that it’s only 25%, but after seeing what we have in Congress, I’d bet it’s more like 70%.
A college degree doesn’t mean what it did 50 years ago. Congress is full of degreed lawyers, who are dumb as a stump.

“...to their immediate supervisors.”

And then what?

“specific jobs last week”

My job description listed specific jobs, but better that 85% of what I did came under “10% other duties as assigned”.
