The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) announced it had been gifted the country’s first fleet of Tesla Cybertrucks for law enforcement use.

During an address, LVMPD said an unnamed donor gifted the department were given about 10 Cybertrucks to use for patrol and SWAT teams from an unnamed donor.

“By the way, we ordered these before the Trump Tower [explosion]” Sheriff Kevin McMahill said, according to the outlet Police1, referring to the New Year’s Day incident that killed the driver, who was identified as an active-duty Army solider, and injured several others.

“But I will tell you, we want these things because the cops inside will be safe no matter,” McMahill said. “These stop bullets. They are also a tremendous recruitment tool for us.”

I like Musk but not Tesla, never found them aesthetically pleasing for one — and many of their owners just ooze general obnoxiousness even if I don’t know who they are...LoL just the vibe while on the road! It’s like the drivers of certain cars have a through-line of personality traits. Forgive me LORD for stereotyping but yeah :).

These stop bullets.

How? By catching on fire? Are you supposed to crouch behind a pile of lithium batteries in a shoot-out?

As long as they’re not used in a high speed chase where the batteries get hot.

Gee Whiz. One would think our minds of the most brilliant sceintists on earth could discover some high BTU energy liquid that would easily vaporize/ignite under pressure in some type of high efficiency “vapor pump” where that energy could be harness to do mechanical work. It would solve everything.....oh, wait...

“their owners just ooze general obnoxiousness”

They are now the WORST drivers on the road, constantly flogging their acceleration from red light to red light, darting in and out of traffic often across multiple lanes, chronically tail gating way too close. I’ve never seen a more impatient and more obnoxious, more entitled class of drivers than those in Teslas.

They’ve replaced black BMW and black Mercedes drivers as the worst on the road.

Actually...no. That distinction belongs to owners of Jeep Liberty's and Nissan Murano's...they seem to have zero awareness of what's going on around them. At least any time I'm driving and there's a car where I least want a car to be, it's one of those two.

White people drive poorly, too.
