Starmer to condemn Reform's ‘dangerous right-wing politics’

Sir Keir Starmer will use his Scottish Labour speech to condemn the “dangerous right-wing politics” of Reform UK.

The Prime Minister is set to insist that Nigel Farage’s party is not the right answer for Scotland or Britain.

An opinion poll earlier this week put Reform UK ahead of Labour, with other polls north of the border, meanwhile, suggesting the party could win its first ever seats at Holyrood in next May’s Scottish elections.

At a Holyrood level, polls have suggested Scottish Labour could suffer its worst Scottish Parliament election result in the history of devolution.

It is a far cry from the triumphant general election win in July 2024, when Scottish Labour won 37 seats, up from just one, while the SNP fell to nine.

However, Scottish Labour MP, Brian Leishman, MP for Grangemouth and Alloa, told The Herald the Prime Minister is “letting down” Scotland because of his “inaction” on Grangemouth.

The Prime Minister will address delegates at the Scottish Events Campus in Glasgow on Sunday.

He will accuse Reform UK of holding “dangerous right wing” views, adding the party will “say they are the ones who can tilt politics towards the interests of working people”.

But he will insist that “their proposals do precisely the opposite”, adding that Labour has “to be ready for this test, ready to point out that beneath the bluster, the alternative they offer is alien to working people”.

Hitting out at Reform UK, which won five seats in last year’s general election, the Prime Minister will say: “You want to know what Farage and Reform are doing, on their rare visits to Parliament?

Yes. Memes of “migrants” who are sometimes depicted with misshapen heads and/or with tears rolling down their faces are obviously something that is dangerous enough to be arrested over, sent to jail for multiple months, if lucky enough to receive only that, while violent “migran” offenders get probation or are released to make room for the dangerous right-wing! /sarc.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Starmer eventually bans Reform to participate as a political party in the next election. After all, they’re “far-right”.

,,, Starmer’s best trick is to put the boot into Nigel Farage in order to keep the spotlight off his own non-performance. Tiresome communist.

Labor and the Torries got together and demonized reform which handed the country to Labour which may been England’s last chance

“The Prime Minister is set to insist that Nigel Farage’s party is not the right answer for Scotland or Britain.”

And would he be expected to say otherwise?

Since he has proven himself to not be the right answer for Scotland or Britain.

By the way, he was elected with about 35% of potential number of voters.

Screw him.

And a majority of UKs low info voters likely will believe him.

That’s why he is in power today.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he tried.

Then there’s this:

NEW - Former EU Commissioner Thierry Breton fantasizes about a possible annulment of the upcoming elections in Germany: “We did it in Romania, and we will obviously have to do it, if necessary, in Germany.”

There's no such thing as "democracy" in Europe.

You have one option. You have to vote for the ruling Leftist party.

Correct.

Just like what has occurred with the Democratic Party which pushed out Joe to make room for Kamala to “save Democracy.”

The funny thing is that they would have been better off with hiding Joe Biden in his basement in Delaware the whole time (as long as he avoided doing that disastrous CNN debate in June).
