Kash Patel walked into the FBI Director's office with a plan in hand. It appears he started executing that plan on day one.

There goes a lot of COLA and differential pay for being in the DC enclave.

DC area cost of living is much higher than any pay differential—FBI folks who move to Huntsville are going to be much better off financially.

Followed by giggling.
“Hey, just kidding. I had you guys going there. I’m throwing a huge staff party.” 🥳

Well, fine, but I’d rather he fire them rather than foist them across all of us outside of DC. If they need to be gone due to corruption an politics, sending them out to field offices means they are just going to be the same problems, only more local to the rest of us.

article:
"Another 500 staff will be reassigned to Huntsville, Alabama, which is the DC equivalent of exile to Siberia." That's interesting, because DC is the Huntsville equivalent of Hell.

Hey, Huntsville, Alabama is a cool little city. They have some wild old grocery stores!

Huh? I love Huntsville - spent many years in and out of there, a few weeks at a time.
Lovely city, nice people, great bar-b-que.

North Alabama is a really nice place. But the cultural attractions are decidedly inferior to those of DC.
