So That's Why Trump Is Being so Tough on Zelenskyy

There’s been no lack of reactions over Trump’s harsh rhetoric about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in recent days. On Tuesday, Zelenskyy accused Trump of "living in this disinformation space," and Trump responded by calling Zelenskyy a "dictator without elections."

This clash isn’t new, of course. Zelensky directed his fair share of criticism at Trump and Vice President JD Vance during the 2024 election cycle, buoyed by the belief that a Democratic victory was likely.

Oops.

Mere weeks before Election Day, the Biden-Harris administration flew Zelenskyy to the United States at taxpayer expense, strategically landing him in the critical swing state of Pennsylvania. There, he toured a munitions plant, sending a clear message: billions in aid to Ukraine means jobs for Pennsylvanians.

Some saw it as blatant election interference, as Zelenskyy was effectively campaigning with the incumbent administration. In an interview with The New Yorker, Zelenskyy attacked Trump as clueless on Ukraine and went even further, calling JD Vance “dangerous” and “too radical.” The timing and messaging made it obvious this was a blatant election-year stunt.

Now, Secretary of State Marco Rubio weighed in on Trump’s recent comments about Zelenskyy, arguing that the U.S. president has legitimate frustrations with the Ukrainian leader — frustrations that even Joe Biden had.

“I think President Trump is very upset at President Zelenskyy, and in some cases rightfully so,” Rubio told investigative journalist Catherine Herridge. He pointed out that Biden himself had expressed irritation with the Ukranian president, reminding Americans that “there are newspaper articles out there about how he cursed at him in a phone call” over Ukraine’s persistent demands for more aid. Instead of expressing gratitude, Zelenskyy often pivots to pressing for additional support, Rubio said.

Rubio also revealed details of a private conversation he and VP Vance had with Zelenskyy regarding a potential joint venture over Ukraine’s mineral rights.

“We explained to them, look, we want to be a joint venture with you, not because we’re trying to steal from your country but because we think that is actually a security guarantee,” he said.

The idea, he explained, was that by partnering in an important economic endeavor, the U.S. would have a vested interest in Ukraine’s stability. He also noted that such a deal would help recoup some of the nearly $200 billion in taxpayer-funded aid sent to Kyiv. According to Rubio, Zelensky was receptive to the plan, saying he needed to run it through his country’s legislative process.

However, just days later, Zelensky publicly contradicted the private discussion. “I read two days later that Zelensky is out there saying, ‘I rejected the deal, I told them no way, that we’re not doing that,’” Rubio said. “Well, that’s not what happened in that meeting.”

Democrats got to Zelensky and said “Kill the deal and we’ll attack Trump as Putin’s errand boy”.

It didn’t take Zelensky long to figure out the war = money and lots of it. But he is mistaken if he thinks that Trump is going to fall for his bluff

Z won’t be around much longer.

His democrat buddies in the US will do a lot of ‘chirping’ about Trump being weak, but reality will eventually win out over fantasy.

How about one of the things Zelenskyy did was to visit and tour Pennsylvania (battleground state) weapons production facilities at the instigation by the Biden Administration.

This was clearly an attempt at voter wooing in PA by Biden with Zelenskyy’s help.

Zelensky Acted Two-Faced & Trump Is "Personally Very Upset" With Him: Rubio

"I read two days later that Zelensky is out there saying: I rejected the deal; I told them no way, that we’re not doing that. Well, that’s not what happened in that meeting. So, you start to get upset by somebody — we’re trying to help these guys," Rubio said.

Z is bad for his country. He should reconcile with his main benefactor, the US and President Trump. Instead, he has chosen to join “the resistance” against Trump. I hope he wises up soon, or the Ukraine will suffer. Snap elections to get him out of office might be an option but I don’t think there is enough time.

I’m tired of CIA, USAID, etc. regime change. What they do abroad, they do here in the US. If your only tool is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Dancing with the devil may not be prudent.

Rubio sounded good in his first 6 minutes. I may return later and watch more. Perhaps he is more like Eisenhower than Patton, but I will defer to others on historical comparisons.

Zelenskyy also knew the Russia collusion claims and the phone call Trump was impeached over were bogus, but kept quiet, ostensibly hoping/assisting in Trump being removed from office.

Make no mistake here.

All of this is pointed at the budget fight.

Questions:

1) Would Trump veto a budget bill because it has continuing funding for Ukraine?

2) Would Trump veto a budget bill with money for Ukraine, but also has an outright, overt, YEAR 1, spending cut?

3) Would the GOP in Congress join with Democrats to override a presidential veto of that budget bill?

4) Would Trump veto a budget bill with money for Ukraine and a YEAR 1 spending *increase*, just because it will also increase the debt ceiling for X years?

I believe Zelensky is going to end up as a very good example to others of what happens if you mess with Trump.

Zelenskyy is a former stand-up comic phony.

All he does is fly around the world, wearing his short-sleeve shirts (comically pretending to be a man of the people), attending G7 countries' state functions (where everyone else is in formal attire), demanding tens of billions more for his endless losing war effort.

I'm pretty good at sizing up people and I didn't trust Zelenskyy from Day One when I first started reading about him and watching YT videos of him.

Of course, the puppet Bye-dein's handlers didn't even try to size up Zelenskyy. They just handed him hundreds of billions of American taxpayer money, no questions asked, ensuring all that American taxpayer money eventually finds its way back into extreme far-left Democrat politicians' campaigns and pockets. Same-o, same-o. Snooze ... wake me when the extreme far-left Democrats ever change their tune. I'll continue sleeping ... because I know the far-left Democrats will never change their far-left tune.

The extremist Democrats' ongoing deranged response to The Donald's first month in office continues proving my point ...

Now the extreme far-left Democrat politicians have another new talking point they're spreading around their Democrat-MSM: Trump continues disgracefully calling Zelenskyy a former "moderately successful comedian" who became a "dictator" and talked Bye-dein into freely handing Zelenskyy "$350 Billion" in American taxpayers' money ... but hypocrite Trump had a moderately successful TV show called the "Apprentice!" Hypocrite!

Um, dishonest con-artist Democrats, as you know, the "Apprentice" is only a microscopic fraction of what President Trump has accomplished in his life. President Trump created a global real estate development and management empire, was elected U.S. President twice, is finding and eliminating massive fraud and corruption throughout the U.S. government, etc. OTOH, there's Zelenskyy who's entire claim to fame is he's a former "moderately successful comedian." Oh yeah, and he's also cluelessly "leading" a hopeless losing war costing American taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars ... with no end in sight.

So, as you see, there's a "slight" difference between the two.

LOL.

Democrat morons.
