Texas is on track to become America's most populous state as disgruntled liberals continue to flee California in droves.
The deep red state is set to claim the top spot by 2045, according to a new data from Realtor.com, as its population soars from 31 million to a predicted 42 million.
The Lone Star State is currently the second most populous state to California, which counts 39 million residents. The Golden State has been suffering population declines in recent years.
Residents cite its high cost of living and poor quality of life as factors in driving them away, and from 2019 to 2022 the population continually plummeted.
California's population rose slightly, by 0.17 percent, in 2023, the most recent year of data. If it remains on the same growth trajectory, the state won't reach pre-pandemic levels until 2032.
While California has struggled to bounce back from the pandemic, Texas has seen a boom as residents flock to cities such as Dallas, San Antonio and Austin.
'In the years since the Covid-19 pandemic, the Texas economy has boomed, especially in high-demand industries like technology, education, manufacturing and construction,' Realtor.com Chief Economist Danielle Hale said.

Unfortunately not it’s most populist, as its RINOs regularly sells everyone out.
“Texas is on track to become America’s most populous state as disgruntled liberals continue to flee California in droves.”
Hopefully they will leave their liberal politics behind.
Will all these liberals screw up Texas as they had in my California?( born and raised there).
Oe thing you can count on is that liberals can’t determine cause and effect in their voting habits.
California growth is mostly immigrants legal and, especially, illegal while Americans are heading out. remember, it still has something near 42% sensible voters but they have had no say in how things are run (into the ground). Good for Texas!
Believe me those that moved here in last 4 years are really trying to screw our state up.
Hopefully most of the people moving out of California are Republican or conservative.
California actually has more Republicans than any other state; they have been trapped behind enemy lines for decades.
Hopefully they will leave their liberal politics behind.
I'm thinking the diehard liberals are the ones who stay in Cali and convince themselves they're living in a paradise even as they step over human feces and pay half their income in rent. The ones who move tend to be more reasonable.
In many places, I’m not seeing that happen. I honestly don’t know if I could recommend Texas as an ideal state to live in now.
doesn’t sound like it’s going to stay so red
Will all these liberals screw up Texas as they had in my California?( born and raised there).
I can't speak for all ex-Californians but my friend who moved from the Bay Area to the Dallas area certainly isn't. He schooled me in the importance of mocking the politically correct!
Deport all the illegals and California will have 3 or 400 people left.
That obvious sarcasm for those who truly don’t understand it.
I also know some who moved to Texas, and they are not liberals.
FUDGE!!!!! I don’t want them here! They devoured California, Colorado, New Mexico, next on the radar Arizona, and Texas is the cherry on top. If we lose Texas this nation will go down the toilet. And don’t give me that it’s conservatives that are moving out of California to Texas cause it ain’t! Just look at Dallas, Austin, El Paso, Houston, San Antonio,Waco and now Ft. Worth. The liberal locusts are devouring Texas. No more big cities left to eat alive! ALL THOSE CITIES are saturated with WOKE, queers etc. liberalism gone amok! Our state house is so effin corrupt and full of RINOS! Believe me when I tell you TEXAS IS ALMOST COOKED! Forget Soros.. we have our own homegrown corrupt multi billionaire! The Fosters the Hunts etc.
So maybe California will flip. I suspect it already has or gone purple but it’s who counts the votes
The communists used a wall to keep people in. Maybe the Democrats in California could learn something from their comrades.
Texas legislators need to do something about the high 2.5% property taxes if they want to be the most populous state.
There is no way that Texans can sign a petition to put anything on the ballot like here in California with Prop 13…
Texas is barely a “red state.”
Austin is like Ann Arbor. Drugs + depravity = DEI. Since the 1960s. Saturating enough of state education, to plant long running bad seeds.
