Revealed: Trump’s confidential plan to put Ukraine in a stranglehold
The Telegraph ^ | February 17th, 2025 | Ambrose Evans-Pritchard

Posted on 02/17/2025 10:57:08 AM PST by Mariner

Donald Trump’s demand for a $500bn (£400bn) “payback” from Ukraine goes far beyond US control over the country’s critical minerals. It covers everything from ports and infrastructure to oil and gas, and the larger resource base of the country.

The terms of the contract that landed at Volodymyr Zelensky’s office a week ago amount to the US economic colonisation of Ukraine, in legal perpetuity. It implies a burden of reparations that cannot possibly be achieved. The document has caused consternation and panic in Kyiv.

The Telegraph has obtained a draft of the pre-decisional contract, marked “Privileged & Confidential’ and dated Feb 7 2025. It states that the US and Ukraine should form a joint investment fund to ensure that “hostile parties to the conflict do not benefit from the reconstruction of Ukraine”.

The agreement covers the “economic value associated with resources of Ukraine”, including “mineral resources, oil and gas resources, ports, other infrastructure (as agreed)”, leaving it unclear what else might be encompassed. “This agreement shall be governed by New York law, without regard to conflict of laws principles,” it states.

The US will take 50pc of recurring revenues received by Ukraine from extraction of resources, and 50pc of the financial value of “all new licences issued to third parties” for the future monetisation of resources. There will be “a lien on such revenues” in favour of the US. “That clause means ‘pay us first, and then feed your children’,” said one source close to the negotiations.

The only reason Trump would present such a contract to Ukraine is to inform them they are dead meat hanging.

Still, they should have taken the deal.

Because Russia will give them nothing but a firing squad.

“A new Versailles

If this draft were accepted, Trump’s demands would amount to a higher share of Ukrainian GDP than reparations imposed on Germany at the Versailles Treaty, later whittled down at the London Conference in 1921, and by the Dawes Plan in 1924. At the same time, he seems willing to let Russia off the hook entirely.”

Corrupt little hellholes need to think twice before calling their older brother in to fight for them. Older brother caught on to the scams...

Trump likely knows how much the Ukraine has kicked back to the Democrats.

“ports and infrastructure to oil and gas, and the larger resource base of the country”

Wasn’t all that promised to Black Rock and Klaus?

What about the “migrants” ze elites wanted to bring in to “help” repopulate Ukraine?

It’s a starting point for a deal. Ukraine has taken a lot from us already and now they’re making a case for the US to guarantee whatever border settlement is negotiated with Putin. Trump, unlike Obama, Biden and every Bushie, is not going to do this for free. We have a right to some compensation for the treasure we’ve sunk into Ukraine - Trump is not going to bankrupt Ukraine or impose Treaty-of-Versailles conditions on them, but he’s going to get fair value. These terms are a starting point for negotiations.

Could this strategy lead to Ukraine giving evidence of how the Biden crime family, including Old Joe himself, made themselves rich on US taxpayer money?

This is classic Trump— set forth an extreme position, and when you get pushback, then negotiations begin. Media idiots will never get this basic strategy even though Trump has been plain about it— remember the old proverb, take Trump seriously but not literally.

Ukraine's biggest export has been its farm products. Other things have been undervalued due to the rampant corruption in Ukraine. Trump is basically telling Europe that the U.S. has dibs on these resources because we financed the war more than they did. Europe will now need to foot the bill now that Biden is no longer making billion dollars payments to Ukraine while skimming off the top.

No chance that Zelensky will rat out the Bidens because he is in on the scam. Sounds like mutual blackmail to me

Zelensky sent the contract to China and all of a sudden China showed up at the Munich Security Conference for meetings with Ukraine and the EU.

A big part of negotiating is knowing your competition and their situation better than they know you and yours.

Trump is light years ahead of Zelensky...and Putin.

“It covers everything from ports and infrastructure to oil and gas...”

This is how President Trump works behind the scenes and largely why the Russky Marxists led by Putin will capitulate. Ukraine is nothing by itself and has no real negotiating power and the Russkies know that else they wouldn’t have invaded them in the first place. But Ukraine and the USA? Putin will not wanna play that game and will settle - however will tell his people that ‘they’ won.

It will be over before the warm days arrive.

BREAKING: €700 billion for Ukraine!?!?

The EU is working on a huge package for Ukraine, which should have been made public after the elections in Germany.

But German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock couldn’t keep the secret and made it clear that it could be about 700 billion euros!

"We will launch a large package that has never existed in this dimension before”

Baerbock on the sidelines of the Munich meeting.

-> They wanted to hide it, so it will not interfere with the elections! But now you know, European taxpayer money will go to Ukraine in unprecedented sums.

Remember our largest bailout in US history ? Silicon Valley Bank. They were direct agents for the corrupted Ukrainian Financial system linked at the hip with the Democrat party, who against the Dodd Frank act of 2010 bailed them all out- illegally.

Ukraine had a hand in everything against Trump, Vindman, impeachment of Trump, the fake Russian dossier, etc….a pox to all who supported the most corrupted nation on Earth- Ukraine.
