The toilet laws were multi-decades debacle starting with the 3.5 gallon flushers and then the 1.6 gallon, all ordered and enforced before the manufacturers figured out how to make them work well.

Millions of toilets went to the landfills and billions run up in plumber calls and people were replacing 6 month old toilets after finding out about a different model that would work pretty well.

Are the Democrats (aka Marxists) also responsible for the lousy new air freshener spray cans, that cause your bathroom and kitchen floors to be wet and slippery? Something about protecting the ozone or some such nonsense? The stuff immediately falls to the floor!

There are a lot of toilets out there for years that work fine and most people, especially rich people, keep their toilets for many decades.

Cool. Those LED street lights only create alternating, dimly lighted and relatively dark areas on the street. Bring back incandescent and fluorescent lights!

As long as they have the parts toilets can be repaired and most toilets use standard parts, some of the really expensive and complicated toilets from the distant past became very expensive to repair, the American Standard Vent Away for example.
