It takes loyalty to rise in Donald Trump’s world. And on Saturday, July 13, Karoline Leavitt demonstrated it in uncommon fashion.
As she tells it, Trump’s then-campaign spokeswoman had only just carried her 3-day-old baby boy home from the hospital when she switched on the television to watch her boss’s campaign rally in Butler, Pa.
It turned out to be the fateful event at which a would-be assassin’s bullet clipped Trump’s ear. Almost immediately, according to Leavitt, she and her husband decided: She would scrap a planned maternity leave and go back to work, which she did four days later.
“The President literally put his life on the line to win this election,” she would later explain to the Conservateur, a conservative women’s blog. “The least I could do is get back to work quickly.”
That gesture of devotion is one reason—but hardly the only—that explains why Trump has made Leavitt, 27, the youngest White House press secretary in history.
Her first two weeks behind the lectern have showcased both her precocious skills and a tendency to amplify her boss’s exaggerations. Trump is said to adore Leavitt, proclaiming a “star is born” at a recent White House event. But there is no guarantee it will last with a president who cycled through four press secretaries in his first administration.

They lied frequently, tirelessly, and uniformly, even if they weren’t convincing.
All Trump’s Press Secretary needs to do to is tell the truth. It is an easy job!

The linguistic origins of "Trump" would be a fascinating study. A mutually intelligible dialect is spoken by WWII submariners and their derivative cold war fast attack chief petty officer and the warrior class among the submarine officer class. It comes from a spirit of personal competence developed over years of practice and confidence in slaying enemies foreign and domestic, which includes anyone in the Naval Support bureaucracy getting in the way of the mission they are on at the time- the nature of which they [the bureaucrats] are not cleared to know. Sometimes they wouldn't understand it and sometimes they wouldn't approve of it, but the mission was always somehow, arguably, for the greater good. The Blues Brothers, "We're on a mission from God" is another splinter dialect.
Being able to speak Trump involves a certain personal competency, loyalty to a cause, and lots of practice training how to get on with what's important while kicking idiots to the curb. Being able to do so is one of those nature / nurture sort of questions. Is it genetic or is it environmental. I believe it is a genetic trait that is triggered into expression when you have to act in a cause that comes about because morons effed everything up.

Karoline Leavitt is what feminism was supposed to be about, an accomplished professional who could have a career and a family. But the feminist movement has turned into a bunch of nagging harpies that only care about killing babies and power.

I was impressed the first time she took the podium. That is one smart young lady. Solid American too. Not somebody here speaking Marxist and scrounging off the U.S. taxpayers.
