Some people do not have situational awareness.
A cute little 6 ft shark.

as she 'attempted to engage' with the animal She's lucky that she's not dead. I can't think of anything more stupid than this.

Apparently she never watched Jaws. I’m amazed anyone goes in the ocean after seeing that movie.

Sad outcome for this lady. Some people just have zero common sense. You see the same in Yellowstone.

Sharks do not ‘engage’, they hunt, then they feed.
Maybe she thought she was seeing a Dolphin, it being so small.
It was probably a juvenile shark, out for lunch.
To: Angelino97
That’s definitely up for a Darwin Award had she perished, and only slightly below those people that walked backward off a cliff and died wanting to get closer to the Sun taking a selfie.

How absolutely terrifying that must have been. I'm not going to dogpile the lady but I sure hope in this age of selfies, people learn from this.

There was a story the other day of a lady on safari who was killed by a hippo. No details were provided as to how she came to be in contact with the giant wild animal.

I’m not surprised at all. Tourons are always asking the Park
Rangers where the bears go at night and who feeds and takes care of them. “Aren’t the wild bears tame?”
