Gov. Kathy Hochul has postponed a Thursday meeting with President Trump after the Justice Department revealed it was suing New York state over its sanctuary status.
Hochul had planned to meet Trump for lunch but rescheduled for next week, CBS reported, citing a source familar with the situation.
It comes just hours after the DOJ slapped the Empire State with a lawsuit over its policy of limiting cooperation with federal immigration enforcement.
“New York has chosen to prioritize illegal aliens over American citizens,” US Attorney General Pam Bondi said as she announced the suit.

My bet is that, after a little bluster, Hochul folds like a cheap suit.
Looks like the dems are about to find out what it means when their games will no longer be tolerated.
No one has the patience nor cares to continue with the dem lies, delays and fake virtue.
Hochul was trans before trans was cool:

The democrats have became eagle food for their actions.
Hochel claims this is a ‘nothing’ lawsuit because law enforcement CAN access DMV info .... they just need a warrant. Getting a warrant when you are conducting a traffic stop & in other situations like responding to domestic abuse calls might be a little ‘tricky’. The 2 most dangerous situations for police: traffic stops & domestic abuse calls.
No doubt , I’m sure Trump has the necessary receipts to finish the witch.
Would be nice, if somehow DOT/Highway funds could be slahed or cut for states that allow Illegals to have drivers licenses.

This is going to be interesting, the lawsuits are civil cases, so we’ll see how this goes.
Politically this is a genius move by Trump, even if the Democrats ultimately win against the charges in Civil Court, the optics are terrible here for democrats.
They literally are having to defend indirectly the horrible policies that have gotten American’s killed. People are going to remember that mother speaking about her daughter, and what these Democrats open border policies did.
Democrats are stuck arguing finer things in civil court, but all it will appear to the public is Democrats are pro crime and open borders, and responsible for murders and rapes.

Regardless of how the actual civil cases play out, the optics are simple... Democrats are pro crime, pro illegal alien, and pro raping and murdering Americans.

We need a warrant to find out if someone is an illegal alien?
That means illegal aliens have more rights than American citizens.
That is all true..
But let’s face it.
What this ALL comes down to is ultimately crossing the Illegals with drivers licences to REGISTERED VOTERS..
And as a side to census and House representation.
NY was once the “Empire State” - it led the world in manufacturing, technology, trading, maritime, arts, etc.... That was a long time ago
Now NY State is progressive-woke hell-hole. It ONLY survives on skimmings from Wall Street financialization, and debt. Its largest “industry” is government. While NY and Albany dominate politics, the rest of the state has turned into Appalachia.
Trump has a soft-spot for NY City. I was from there too - but I do not have a soft spot for it.
I hope he uses the levers of debt and fed.gov money, which NY desperately needs, to collapse NY’s corrupt political system.
Hochul and James decided to FA. Now they are about to FO.
I used to work for a police department & had police on ‘my’ radio, doing traffic stops, responding to domestics, plus a lot of other dangerous scenarios. I know first hand what danger these folks can be in when I have run license info & it came back with wants/warants. It’s optics for most, but personal for me.

Democrats are eager to defend the indefensible and it is not going to help them get out of the wilderness.
They are battering their reputation to pieces. I wish I could take credit for forcing them to destroy themselves.
She blames Trump? I thought Democrats believed the DOJ was an independent and fair minded agency.
I don’t see her folding like a cheap suit unless and until the fat is coming out of her own personal ass. This lawsuit is just another item on her office agenda.
NY like MI got too tied in with the unions in the 1970s.
I remember neighbors in the suburbs of Buffalo making $35/ hour working at Bethlemhem Steel in the mid 1970s.
They bragged about only putting in 30-35 hours a week.
A few years later they started laying people off. Then closing the steel mill altogether.
They all blamed the cheap imported steel coming in from Asia, but they never looked in the mirror to blame themselves and the UNIONS that killed those jobs.
This happened all over NYS, MI, PA, OH and all the other rust belt cities and states. UNION DEMOCRATS killed those areas.
This is why me and all my brothers left and moved out of NY after attending SUNY colleges.
