Looks Like We Got Us Some MAHA Happenin'

Isn't this sumpthin"

Holy smokes.

HOLY SMOKES

Robert Kennedy Jr., vile, disgusting family attacks and all, has cleared his cloture vote with room to spare and is on the clock for the confirmation vote as head of Health and Human Services.

BREAKING: RFK Jr. has passed the Senate cloture vote, clearing a major hurdle toward confirmation!

One step closer to officially becoming Secretary of HHS! pic.twitter.com/RFInDbAQsM— American Values 🗽 (@AVPac_US) February 12, 2025

Astonishingly enough, even you-know-who came along for a ride on the 'Vote for Bobby Train.'

Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski will vote YES to confirm RFK Jr. 🔥

That’s 52 YES votes. Mitch McConnell is now the ONLY Republican Senator holding out on RFK.

MAHA is happening!

The other sour sister, too, believe it or not.

BREAKING. RFK's confirmation is almost assured as Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, told CNN yesterday that she intends to vote yes to support the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Health and Human Services secretary.
The Senate vote could now come very, very soon!— Robert W Malone, MD (@RWMaloneMD) February 12, 2025

Almost makes one look a little more kindly on the august institution of the Senate...almost.

Approving every one of President Trumps nominees is a good way to return peoples trust in the Senate, that's for sure. My opinion of them just went up 10 points with the Gabbard confirmation and it'll go up another 5 with the RFK JR one. Keep it up.— Shem Horne (@Shem_Infinite) February 12, 2025

I'll wait until RFK Jr is confirmed and, most importantly, Kash Patel gets through the wringer in one piece before I give them complete credit for a turnaround.

But it does give you hope that the trials and tribulations of a first-term Trump v McConnell Senate won't be repeated this time around. Naturally, I don't expect moonlight and roses, but I absolutely expect a positive synergy that gets most of the goals and campaign promises on the agenda and enacted.

Americans are in no mood for go-their-own-way legislative houses in this Trump presidency. We will tolerate no more Paul Ryans. *spits*

With this advancement, Kennedy's had a pretty good two weeks.

Last week, a judge in Maine overseeing Kennedy's defamation lawsuit against Daily Kos writer David Vickery ruled against Vickery's motion for dismissal, saying the motion had failed several standards.

A Superior Court judge late last week denied a motion to dismiss a lawsuit brought by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. against Daily Kos writer David Vickrey.

The suit alleges Vickrey made false statements about Kennedy that damaged Kennedy’s reputation. Vickrey claimed that Kennedy helped cause the deadly Samoa measles outbreak and that he joined “neo-Nazis” and “various anti-Semitic conspiracy groups” when he spoke at a 2020 event in Berlin.

For years, Vickrey repeated the claims on social media, including Daily Kos and Twitter/X, despite being informed that the claims were false.

Kennedy, founder and former chairman of Children’s Health Defense (CHD), is suing for damages. Kennedy is on track to become the next secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

...In his decision, Maine Superior Court Justice Thomas R. McKeon noted that Vickrey’s motion to dismiss failed both as a standard motion to dismiss and as a motion to dismiss under Maine’s anti-SLAPP law.

“The anti-SLAPP statute is intended to prevent lawsuits that affect a defendant’s First Amendment rights,” said CHD General Counsel Kim Mack Rosenberg.

The court found that Vickrey’s activities in publishing his statements about Kennedy failed to fall within the limited scope of the anti-SLAPP law, according to Mack Rosenberg.

This thing has been dragging on for four years already and while Vickery has kept up a steady stream of snippy invective about Kennedy throughout...

...there sure hasn't been much about it in the news, has there?

Perhaps that's because...what was that his lawyer said after the ruling?

Oh, yeah

...Barnes called the court’s ruling a “big win.” He told The Defender:

“The court found that repeating lies about Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that have been proven false by prior lawsuits is clear evidence of actual malice toward Kennedy. This means anyone who repeats those lies can now also be sued.”

If any of the MSM who have been hounding Kennedy with these lurid stories (and why, I have no idea, as he has enough lifetime legitimate fodder to chew on) are taking a step back. MSM has been writing some big checks lately, thanks to big mouths and fevered imaginations..

In any event, this is one more plank in the brain trust that Trump chose and is building to shake things up with a vengeance.

Yesterday, I had a conversation with a family member about politics. He's a hard leftist, and I'm a centerist.

I told him: "I support RFK Jr."

He said: "This conversation is over."

I told him: "That's why Trump won."— T Wolf 🌁 (@Twolfrecovery) February 12, 2025

And one more promise kept.

I am not concerned because I am aware of who he is. Fact is, he did not pretend or lie about it. That is a good sign.

He will be watched I am sure.

They are extremely afraid of Kash Patel.
Just watch a few excerpts of the hearings, and see the fear in their questioning.
Pencil neck Schiff is shaking uncontrollably, as he fires his accusations at Patel.
Kash knows everything about these slimeballs, and they know he knows.

True. I never dreamed 2025 would start out this well. Trump 2.0 is so different from any admin we’ve seen in decades, if ever. All the former potus’ seem like incurable globalists now.

The same way John McCain went out.

The problem is not merely disagreeing with those things...they are simply not rationale things to have said, period, and doesn’t sound like someone who plays with a full deck.

That’s the issue. Gabbard changed her mind. She never sounded like a nutcase, even though her positions on some issues were completely wrong.

Just getting a bit tired of some people saying only those who support the “Deep State”, etc. are opposed to his nomination. There is a long history of not only articles but comments here for literally decades to very recently on what FR has thought of him. The concerns with him are obviously legitimate.

If DOGE had something on them, wouldn’t he be fully on board the Trump train? He’s against it.

No, but they are indications of someone who doesn’t have all of his marbles. Saying things like that is not rationale - not merely things he’s said we disagree with.
