The Hamas terrorist group on Tuesday dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump’s demand for the release of all remaining Israeli and American hostages from Gaza by noon on Saturday, or the ceasefire deal is over — and Israel can respond as it wants.
AP reports Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said the dozens of hostages would only be returned if all parties remain committed to a ceasefire deal reached last month.
“Trump must remember there is an agreement that must be respected by both parties,” he cautioned, adding threatening language only complicates matters.

They’ve elected to receive.
This is 180 degrees from the reaction they had last time. I fear that the rest of the hostages are dead or too abused for Hamas to actually show to the world. They can’t answer Trump.
At most Trump can cut the cash flow.
In common with the American leftists, the Hamas monsters don’t fully realize that they have lost their leverage. The guy in charge in now is not playing the old game anymore.
This time, for the very first time, Israel actually may be permitted to win a war; and gain the benefits of being the winner.
I would call up the Qataris and tell them that if the hostages are returned by the deadline, Qatar will be a U.S. territory.
Of course, the gamble here is that hostages still alive will be killed in the reverse pogrom to be activated.
I would guess there are some western players behind what Hamas is doing in order to goad Trump into this debacle over there.
HAMAS probably doesn’t have all of them. They might not even have had half of them.
I’m inclined to agree.

HE diplomacy, it is.

Trump was going to deport everybody in the Gaza strip anyway. Now, he doesn’t have to bother deporting anybody because they will be running out of Gaza for their lives. Nobody is going to be funded by USAID to care, and the people have already grown weary of Iran’s meddling. They should have taken the deal. Israel will be outraged enough that they won’t stop the bombing and shelling. Thankfully we have increased production of explosives for the Ukraine war effort, so there should be plenty. Hamas should not questioned Trump’s resolve, it’s a mistake.
He can do more. Trump can release the traditional shackles always placed on Israel: forbidding them from winning a war. Every previous US administration, along with the UN and the Europeans, always insisted that Israel agree to gracefully stop before they could achieve full victory against their tormentors.
This time may be different.
