Amazon has relisted the controversial book 'When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Movement' after the retail giant blacklisted the author for four years.
The novel's conservative author Ryan T. Anderson took to social media Wednesday - a day after his book was relisted - thanking his 'friends and allies who pushed for this to happen.'
'Love to see it. After a four year ban, Amazon has returned my book to their cyber shelves,' he said on X.
The book aims to provide 'thoughtful answers' to questions revolving around the 'transgender movement,' while also revealing 'a grim contrast between the media's sunny depiction and the often sad realities of gender-identity struggles,' according to its online description.
After being published in 2018, the book quickly rose to the top of two of Amazon's bestseller lists, but in February 2021 - just after former President Joe Biden took office - Amazon pulled it from its website.
Responding to the decision, Anderson told Fox News Digital that he believes Amazon made a 'purely political move' in reversing its decision.
'I think this is purely a political move. Four years ago, with the Biden administration, they thought that they were on the right side of history. And now, four years later, they see that they're not.
'My guess is that they didn't want the Federal Trade Commission to open an investigation,' he added.
Back in 2018, Amazon defended its decision to pull the book, stating that it 'challenges the transgender movement' because it does not allow books that 'frame LGBTQ+ identity as a mental illness.'
At the time, Brian Huseman, Amazon's Vice President of Public Policy, sent a letter to Republican senators defending the company's decision to ban the book, while many big name political leaders disagreed.

WINNING!!!!!
Who cares? Big deal.
Our pre-pubescent kids think going into puberty they can just “choose” what sex they are.
Thats why the Federal Education Dept. needs to be closed down. Let them dye their hair blue on their own time.
It should be: “ When Hairy Met Shall-We ?”
Maybe Musk wants to know who’s buying the books...

It’s this crap that makes me root against Blue Origin.
I still will never have an Amazon account. They were too woke for too long.
GO WOKE GO BROKE
Doesn't seem that way in Amazon's case.

Plus near a thousand jobs in my hometown due to the various distribution centers.
De minimus might change that...
Oh so its a book against the trans nuttiness? No book should ever be blacklisted. We advance in our civilization through literature and free and fair debate of ideas.
