When the NFL chooses a Grammy-winning rapper, it should ensure he will produce a show that connects with a wide audience.
Every rap fan following the drama of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” track, which disses fellow rapper Drake, was dying to see if he would mention Drake during the Super Bowl halftime show. He did.
Last week, “Not Like Us” won a Grammy Award for best rap performance as well as for song of the year. In January, Drake filed a complaint in federal court against Universal Music Group, saying the song accuses him of being a pedophile.
During Lamar the halftime show, smiled directly at the camera while rapping the lyrics, “Say Drake, I hear you like them young. You better never go to cell block one.” He also warns women to hide their little sisters from him.

But a lot of Americans looked at the television, oblivious to the rap war, and said, “This looks like a good time to hip hop to the bathroom and clean up the snack trays.”
The NFL is not trying to reach many of the fans who make up the fan base. The ticket holders, the tailgaters, the jersey buyers, the fantasy football teams, and the people with team-themed winter coats whose team didn’t make it to the Super Bowl, are all owed a thank you in the form of an entertaining halftime show. That way, if the game is boring, as it was this year, the halftime show will be more entertaining than the commercials.
But the league that preaches inclusivity continues to turn many fans off with narrowly focused, uninspired halftime shows. This year’s show spent time on accusations of pedophilia, an inappropriate topic for a broad audience.

When the NFL decided to air this abomination, the election had not passed yet. So this was the NFL’s bet that Kamala was going to win !!
Boring game. Worse than boring half time show. Boring commercials.
There ... I fixed it.
And I guess the thought of…God forbid…white performers, is out of the question
From what I’ve seen, there was minimal mostly naked hoes or Satanism, so that’s huge progress in the right direction.
As soon as I saw Apple being the main sponsor or patron, I decided to give the show a miss.
It was just a weak show. I could see having this rapper IF you also had another performer. Color is not the issue, plenty of black and other artists are not rap.
Why is the NFL insistent on pandering to 13% of Americans, to the exclusion of everyone else?
The “Black National Anthem”, the rap-crap at half-time. The never-ending commercials from the NFL pandering to blacks. If I were from another planet, I would be certain that the NFL was engaged in black supremacy worship.
I kept flipping the channel back to see if the halftime show was over. it wasn’t. This happened over and over again, until I missed KC’s first drive of the second half and any crappy ads that might have played during that same time.

The NFL deliberately chose to wallow in filth and debauchery in order to cater to the lowest form of existence in the United States.
It was the most racist halftime show ever. Maybe the most racist production in TV history in America. I think the NFL needs to put in big letters, END RACISM IN THE NFL in the end zones and across the whole field, after the vile racist halftime show last night.
A chocolate superbowl halftime show in the chocolate city......what else would one expect? 🤷
During halftime I told my wife it’s hard to believe blacks are only 13% of the population.
I saw a comment that the half time show was SO boring, it would have been more exciting to put a desk midfield & have Trump sign EOs.
Words cannot describe how bad halftime was. This is why wokeness, Leftism and political correctness need to end.
I read the President left before the halftime show began. That was the plan I heard so he wasn’t subjected to it for uh...security reasons.
Is that what he was rapping about? Couldn’t understand a word until the end, when he said...turn off the tv.
I did and went to bed.
Horrible, just horrible...
Gutfeld says the nfl endzones need to say “PAY YOUR CHILD SUPPORT” LOL!
