Trump 100% disagrees with federal judge’s ‘crazy’ ruling blocking DOGE from Treasury system

President Donald Trump “100 percent” disagrees with a federal judge’s ruling on Saturday that bars the Department of Government Efficiency from accessing the Treasury Department, he said during an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier.

“Nineteen states attorneys general filed a lawsuit, and early Saturday a judge agreed with them to restrict Elon Musk and his government efficiency team, DOGE, from accessing Treasury Department payment and data systems. They said there was a risk of ‘irreparable harm.’ What do you make of that? And does that slow you down and what you want to do?” Baier asked Trump in the interview clip. No, I disagree with it 100%. I think it’s crazy. And we have to solve the efficiency problem. We have to solve the fraud, waste, abuse, all the things that have gone into the government. You take a look at the USAID, the kind of fraud in there,” Trump responded.

US District Judge for the Southern District of New York Paul Engelmayer, an appointee of former President Barack Obama, issued a temporary restraining order Saturday that sided with 19 Democratic state attorneys general who claimed that giving DOGE “full access” to the Treasury’s payment systems violates the law.

The lawsuit was spearheaded by New York Attorney General Letitia James.

A few thoughts
1. The Order regarding declaratory and injunctive relief, which relies upon the Take Care clause of the Constitution and 5 USC 551 et seq [Administrative Procedure Act] is short on law or facts which is common in that this is a temporary order for injunctive relief.

2. I fail to see how either the Take Care Clause or 5 USC 551 et seq provides a legal basis for preventing the Chief Executive Officer from accessing Treasury Department records.

3. I’m adding Judge Paul Engelmayer to my “ Connect the dots” list :

Marc Elias( over 60 lawsuits attacking voter ID laws)Judge Kaplan (E. Jean Carroll sexual assault case), Judge Engoron (NY civil fraud case), Merrick Garland, Judge Beryl Howell ( Impeachment, January 6th etc), Shenna Bellows (Maine Secretary of State) , Jena Griswold (Colorado Secretary of State), George Soros, Reid Hoffman (financial support for E Jean Carroll), Jamie Raskin and Debbie Wasserman- Schultz( co-sponsored legislation to kick Trump off the ballot), Judge David Ezra (stayed Texas law that permitted the arrest of illegals ), Alejando Mayorkas, Norm Eisen( Impeachment, lawsuits)

“ that this is a temporary order for injunctive relief.”

Yet the order mandates the destruction of records. That is hardly temporary.

It’s time to purge these activist judges from the system.

That’s quite a cast of villains you’ve compiled there, thegagline. The number of “enemies within” is staggering.

Mention the judge by name and challenge him. Where does he get his authority to order anything?

The judge did not allow anyone from the executive branch of government to make their case. This whole thing is totally absurd. The judge needs to be impeached.

From the far left Politico - “ And he ordered Treasury Department leaders to require that any newly prohibited officials who already accessed such information to “immediately destroy and all copies of material downloaded.”

The judges’s name is mentioned in the article and my post. The Judge gets his authority under Article III of the United States Constitution.

Treasury Department records and systems are de facto Presidential records and systems. The judicial branch can not have any access nor control over the President’s own records and systems.

The case can be taken to court but no injunctive relief in the mean time. No such precedent can be allowed

Does he have the authority to order destruction of government property (in this case, the records)?

Give me one good reason why a group of teenage computer hackers should not have access to the Social Security numbers and banking information of everyone in the United States.

Shame for Judge Wiener (that is his actual last name) to not get his Federal check (The head of the T signs those checks)

Sounds like the judge was facilitating the destruction of evidence against the government. I believe that is a federal offense committed by a federal judge. I hear the prison they kept John Gotti in is nice this time of year.

Trump needs to openly defy the order. Trump should go down with Def sec Hegseth, Besset AG Bondi US marshals and staff to Treasury department and demand access to records. The judge didn’t exclude Trump himself.
If judge wants to issue another order excluding any of those people (like he did Besset), let him do so. Then it’s really up to the Marshalls to follow the constitution as they understand it. If they want to follow the judge, they’ll be fired.
There’s already enough fraud to initiate an investigation by OIG and DOJ of all these departments.
There’s already enough judge is also usurping Congressional power by prohibiting Besset from looking at data as he was confirmed by Senate.
