Senator says Trump’s EPA will cut $100M solar funding for Illinois

Illinois U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Springfield, said on social media that President Donald Trump’s administration cutting off funding to the Solar for All program would lock Illinois out of more than $100 million for solar energy projects.

State Rep. Chris Miller, R-Oakland, said his “fingers are crossed” that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's pause will halt Illinois solar projects.

"The first thing that we need to clarify is there is no climate crisis, period. CEJA [Climate and Equitable Jobs Act] and all the related legislation to the green bad deal is a complete scam and a complete hoax. Ultimately, all this is: is an attack on the middle class, people on fixed incomes, and everyday Americans that are struggling to pay their bills because the cost of energy fuels inflation,” said Miller.

Can D.O.G.E. go back and look at Solyndra’s cooked books? Why can’t we get some our money back from the millionaires and billionaires who stole it from us?

I live a mile from the Illinois line, and I don’t know how much of a problem this would be for solar power, but Illinois is not a particularly sunny place, especially in the winter. With a few exceptions, we have had the same grays skies from dawn to dusk, for days on end.

ALL you have to look at to know that solar is a scam is that it is dismantled as soon as the tax credits run out.
It is not profitable if it has to stand on it’s own.
Tha panels should be good for twenty-five years or more.
The “Farms” are taken apart after ten.

Trump and Musk need to end federal subsidies for wind turbines.

Without federal subsidies, wind electric generation is not feasible.

That was my college paper in 1981…a feasibility study of wind power generation of electricity.

Solyndra was chump change compared to the $1.5 BILLION in loan guarantees to the Ivanpah, CA solar project that is being shut down.

Landowners can earn between $300 and $2,000 per acre annually from solar land leases.

Not to mention all the BS Wind Experiments that will probably have to be dismantled and hauled away at public expense because all the advocates and investors and “stake-holders” have vanished like a fart in the wind.
