Senator Andy Kim (D-NJ) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that the Trump administration’s actions directed toward USAID was an “American retreat.”
Kim said, “People see diplomacy as important, and it is essential in pairing with our military. We have their pillars when it comes to foreign policy. We have defense, policy and diplomacy. This is not charity. This is about our national security. In fact, someone who said that exact line is Marco Rubio when he was a senator. There’s a reason why USAID is at the Ronald Reagan building because Ronald Reagan was a strong supporter of this.”

We are “retreating” from massive fraud, waste, abuse and evil.

They stink at them. They learn a new word, beat it to death, then learn another word. The word of the day is “retreat” until it doesn’t work.
Food aid should be handled by some USAID people transferred to the Department of Agriculture and the Department of State.
Medical aid should be handled by some USAID people transferred to the Department of Health and Human Services. Medicaid drug buying should be done at the federal level.
Existing people at the State Department can identify need.
When it comes to peddling perversion outside the USA, retreat should be the standing order.
I’m just waiting for a ‘micro-penis’ gaslighting to start. That’s usually kept for anti-gun stuff, but they’re having to dig for material these days.
How much did Kim get?
Many of those expenditures fall in the “evil” category.
“Evil” expenditures harm people but do not necessarily involve waste, fraud or abuse (though they could of course).
Everyone has heard the list of stupid stuff USAID has supported. Perhaps Kim could tell us about the USAID expenditures that he is in favor of. And don’t give me this crap about kids in Africa starving to death. At best, money from USAID mean someone in Africa downgrades from a Ferrari to a Mercedes, and their share of the kickback disappears. Perhaps the African leaders should buy the food for their citizens instead of US taxpayers. Let’s use our money to feed, clothe, and shelter the homeless in the US first. Once we have that problem fixed, THEN we might consider someone else’s problem.

all they have is guilt-tripping. remember friends, “only the weak apologize to the petulant” L.Star. we aren’t weak but they are too dumb to realize it. we had a Chihuahua long ago that would terrorize the dog across the street, an 80lb Doberman, from outside of the neighbors fence. the Doberman was good about it and would run back and forth along the fence with our little dog barking up a storm not realizing what would happen if the big dog wasn’t behind a fence. the Looney liberals STILL don’t understand the realities of how this concept of “restraint” is the only thing keeping us from giving them an object lesson in the meaning of FAFO. they don’t realize we stay on our side of the fence for THEIR safety.
