The leftist Labour Party government is reportedly considering talks with Caribbean nations on the issue of reparations for the British Empire’s role in the slave trade.
According to a report from The Telegraph, the Foreign Office is planning on holding a meeting with the Reparations Commission of the Caribbean Community (Caricom), a fifteen-nation bloc that advocates for slavery reparations from the West.
The potential trip is reportedly being organised by Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley, who has previously called on former colonial powers to pay her country £3.9 trillion in reparations for slavery.

Idiots.
I’m pretty sure that Spain never worries about this stuff. They have sense.
Would in any of them be better off in their ancestral homeland?
“UK is going full retard I see.”
If the UK government is planning to pay reparations, it certainly doesn’t require millions of USAid dollars to help it fund its propaganda organ, the BBC.
I wouldn’t say going, I would say they already are. I read an article last week about another guy was sentenced to 3 years in prison for complaining about the muslim invasion in the UK. Zero free speech.
The reparation should be a one-way ticket back to whatever s*** hole they came from.
Never mentioned, of course, is the fact that England put an end to slavery in the West:
“England played a significant role in ending slavery, particularly within its colonies. The Slavery Abolition Act of 1833, passed in Parliament, abolished slavery throughout the British Empire, taking effect on August 1, 1834.
England’s efforts extended beyond its own borders. The British government placed a naval squadron off the coasts of Africa to intercept slave ships, known as the West Africa Squadron, which operated from 1808 to 1870 and freed over 160,000 captives.”
In exchange, they must give up everything western, and all trillions will be paid in coconuts or their original currency.
The UK is broke so this should be interesting.
The British government already compensated slave owners for the slaves that were freed. They want more?
Most of the slave deaths were due to inhuman working conditions in the Carribean Islands and Brazil. Fewer then 600000 black slaves were brought to the United States. Horrible, unspeakably so, but Tens of millions were worked to death on sugar plantations in Brazil and the Carribean. Our country is an amalgam, we need to acknowledge our sin, but work to put it where it belongs, in the history. Now we must UNITE and stand together as Americans for our children’s and grandchildren’s sake.
They always want more. It is never enough. It will never be enough.
“Would in any of them be better off in their ancestral homeland?”
They would have never been born if not for the chain of events that brought their parents together.
If that is what they want to do with money they don’t have, go ahead, but leave us out of it. It is a stupid idea unless you are black.
The blokes need to shut up and just do it. Americans don’t care. If they pay their former Caribbeaner slaves, maybe they’ll stay home and not suckle at the U.S. Government teat.
Nktvyet, they are only considering the blacks. UK original slaves were the Irish, they should get reparations first.
The Brits have completely lost their minds!
The UK toilet needs to be flushed and no one dares
Reparations = Free one way ticket back to Africa
Yeah...instead of THANKING the British for the naval blockage to STOP slavery, along with those that died doing so.
To even consider capitulating towards these idiots shows the pathetic state that the UK is currently in.
It’s as though they WANT a civil war - the people are p*ssed as it is with all the migrants straining every single public service THE CITIZENSS PAY FOR. How on earth do you pay for this too? How do you calculate what would be ‘enough’? ...because there will ALWAYS be some that aren’t content. They’ll just take advantage of this weakness and always demand more.
These people are straight-up fools.
