MARINE CORPS PASSES FY24 FINANCIAL AUDIT
USMC ^ | 2/4/25 | USMC

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- For the second year in a row, independent auditors verified that the Marine Corps’ financial records are materially accurate, complete, and compliant with federal regulations and issued an unmodified opinion for Fiscal Year 2024.

This repeat achievement reinforces the service’s reputation for accountability, discipline, and leadership; and this is only the second time such success has been achieved for a military service in Department of Defense history and twice attributed to the Marines.

The findings produced by the audit help the service to more efficiently and accurately plan, program, budget, and spend funds appropriated by Congress.

The Marine Corps’ audit process enabled accurate global tracking and reporting of financial transactions, inventory of facilities, equipment and assets, and accounting for taxpayer dollars spent during the last fiscal year. The auditors also tested the Marines Corps’ network, key business systems, and internal controls.

See, it can be done. The Marine Corps didn’t need a D.O.G.E boot up their arses to get it done either.

Passing an audit and operating efficiently and wisely is not the same thing

Doge should still review what they are spending the money on. DOD budgets are riddled with Congressional pork tucked into the DOD since “you can’t vote against Defenses spending” mindset that dominate 2/3rds of Congress

Any errors are met with, "Drop and give me 20!" Reinforcement works!

Passing audit usually only means your books are clean and balance. Audits don't usually go into how wisely the money was spent. I give USMC benefit of doubt but verify on that.

You mean an audit by the corrupt Inspector General’s office??

That was no audit. That was a pencil whipping exercise.

Having been a DOD contractor for almost 40 years. The following example tells the story about how USMC spends money. An Army, Navy or Air Force Flag shows up for a contract review and you go to lunch. You have to almost rent the seating at the entire restaurant to accommodate the Flag and all his/her aides. USMC Flag shows up the corporate lunch room for himself and 1 or 2 aides is fine.

I want to see how bad the Navy audit goes. The Navy is rife with financial malfeasance.

The Marine Corps has a modest budget. Much of their equipment is acquired by supply NCO’s bartering with the other forces. Or theft.

Smith is a crappy commandant who has gutted the Corps, gotten rid of our arty (sent to Ukraine), our tanks (sent to Ukraine), and dismantled the Scout Sniper program, to name just a few of his errors.

One in a million.

The rest of them clearly do what with the corruption that has begun to be exposed by DOGE.

How much are you getting paid off for sneering at DOGE?

Yes, they do. And the commandant just went in front of a press association and said they do not have a DEI program. But there was one riot on his website that they took down immediately. Also, this ass clown of a commandant wants female drill instructors to be in the squad bay for all Neil platoons.

The Marine Corps is probably the least ugly girl at the ball, but still ugly, and very Wolk. They definitely need the Doge treatment. And the commandant probably needs to resign for lying about DEI.

No, your thread's title isn't any more deserving of attention that anybody else's. Mind your manners.
