In this day and age with dash cams and backup cams being so pervasive in automobiles, I’m surprised airliners don’t have wing cams.
Something they can point from the wing tips showing 90 degrees or more from forward spanning to the wing and the fuselage, which could serve several purposes, such as taxying, as well as being able to look at the wing and engines in flight without pilots having to crank their heads around side windows in the cockpit.

Old stories, now forgotten (a few days ago)

Airplane wing strikes tug vehicle at Chicago airport, leaving driver hospitalized.

Video shows wing of United Airlines plane catching fire during takeoff at Houston airport.

Looks like the JAL 787 wasn’t taxiing on the centerline when it struck the 737.

Some Bondo and an electric sander should take care of it.

It would not matter, everyone knows Asians can't drive.

Yeah. I watched it. The plane was crawling on the tarmac and clipped another one.

A stupid avoidable accident which will likely cost a lot of money but only a fender-bender in the world of aircraft collisions.

Headline baiting to get people sucked in and generate clicks.

Simple pilot error. There are lines planes are to follow. Veer away and this happens.
