TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. - Tehama County has issued over 20 evacuation warnings in response to rising flood risks.
The warnings have been prompted by expected water releases from local dams, which are expected to cause flooding along the Sacramento River tonight. According to Genasys Protect, the current alerts are warnings only, but residents in low-lying areas are urged to take caution.
As floodwaters rise, areas adjacent to the river and other low-lying regions may experience significant flooding. Residents are advised to monitor water levels closely if they are in the affected zones.
the last news story on klamath river flooding risk was nov 22 2024.
